I figured it out with some help on another poster from this board which you can read about from here:

and download the file here:

After unzipping place the files into the following path:

"Program Files\GOG.com\The Witcher 2\CookedPC\items"

Then go trade to the lady that gave you the quest in the first place and trade with her....
