He didn't like that one bit. The next thing I know I return to the beach to find his mutilated body.
I got fooled by a monster..how shameful. I don't feel like much of a witcher right now lol.

It's ok. They were pretty hot, and that's always a valid excuse for getting duped. ;p

contemplating whether to load it up. I got the worst case scenario on that quest. Poor Maverik. His guts are spilled all over the beach.

to be honest, the guy had it coming. i thought it was kind of a silly overreaction that maverik goes stomping off when Geralt doesn't really accuse him of anything, he just tries to pry him for a bit information.

Well, if you would've read your journal and snooped around the house a little more, you wouldn't have any doubts about the case. You can't trust NPCs in this universe.

That kinda the failing of this game honestly!

I did read journal (along with all the other endless entries im suppose to remember) and totally gapped on this quest, on what I read.

When I looked around and found the cellar and then the graveyard I was given abit of info that didnt make sense (so I asked Mav and he freaks out).

There is so much to read in this game and if your like me you no longer retain every word you read anymore.

Still think voice overs for all the journal entrys and books, notes, what ever would go along ways in helping people remember these tidbits.

Number of quests I gapped on because I just had reading information overload going on.

you had different options when dealing with maverick. one of them angers him, the other convinces him to go to the beach with you.

you need to learn how to choose the most suitable dialog options.

Save beforehand, that way if you don't like the outcome, try something different.

If there is one thing you shouldn't trust on it's monsters ^^ If he had the guts to kill his own sisters than why did he crap his pants? XDD

I did the same thing the first time. Didn't think he'd storm off since I didn't even accuse him, but guess he's high strung. He did shit himself after all.

After seeing the result I loaded an earlier autosave. Went a different way and came up with a different end. That's the great thing about this game, so many ways to finish a quest, and unintended and unpredictable consequences.

I did the same thing but I actually liked the outcome of failing the quest :P Plus, if you don't live with the consequences of what you choose then what's the point of having choices or multiple outcomes?

I got the dialog choices the wrong way around. I knew not to believe the Wraith because of the graveyard, but I thought "come with me" was believing the spectre and leading him to it to be eaten and "it's accusing you of murder" was discussing the situation with him.

The reward for failing the quest is better than succeeding, though.
