Hi

I have just created the mongoose potion and the game asks me to go with Sile to fight the Kayran. I meet her at the harbour but I try and talk to her and she just mutters "We'd best get to work".

The quest does not carry on from this point. Have I forgotten something? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What did you do up until that point? For me, Sile only appears in the harbor during the Kayran's first appearance cutscene. After that she stays in her room all the time. Did you talk to the merchant about your pay?

Yes I talked to the merchant and if I remember right I doubled the fee.

The game will not let me make any more progress apart from the side quests etc.

Let's see.
1) Sile chases away the Kayran. Talk to Sile.
2) Talk to merchant. Talk to Sile in her room on second floor of the tavern.
3) Going outside of town where you meet Triss.
4) Go to see Cedric.
5) Go to Kayran's lair.
6) Ask Cedric about Ostmurk.
7) Go to get Ostmurk in the cave.
8) Make mongoose potion
Note: 6-8 is optional. You don't really need the potion. It is very helpful though.
9) Talk to Sile in her room.and go to battle the Kayran.

Yep done all those.

She is stood on the harbour instead of being in her room. Looks like I'm done for :(
