sometimes some dialogs have no sound.
and during the kayran fight the only sounds played are geralt footsteps and sword attacks

btw im affected by the no sound bug and had to use the 7.1->5.1 workaround

Had that earlier today at the start of chapter 2. I restarted the whole damn computer just in case, reloaded the first save of the chapter and had sounds again. Maybe it works for you as well.

This is a known issue. The fix is to set your sound card to 'stereo' and not whatever else you had (mine was set to 5.1.) This fixed the issue for me.

If that doesn't solve it, then sorry, I got nothin'.

backed goods got your answer. I got the bug and fixed it by changing sound to stereo.

I may be mistaken, but I think there are two sound issues for some users.

No sound at all is one. It is often fixed by forcing stereo.

The other is loosing everything but Geralt noises. That is the one I encountered (only occurred once in three runs), and what I think the OP is referring to. I didn't have to switch any sound setting for that. Just restarted the game.

but i wouldn't call this a fix..... whats next in chapter 2 ill have to play in black and white at 320x240 or i wont see any textures lol
