I got this game Day 1 and I couldn't get it to enable AA. The settings menu, the ini file, all the ccc settings, no ccc, radeon pro, etc. Everything anyone ever told me and it was always absolutely no AA at all or urbersampling. I hated the jaggy shimmery mess of no AA, especially in wilderness portions with lots of bushes, but my videocard couldn't do ubersampling. I decided to just be patient and wait to play it when I got a new videocard. Now I got a new videocard, again ATI, and completely uninstalled all drivers and installed the newest ones and thought I'd try this game again... still no AA... ubersampling still too difficult for it to reach playable level.

What is the deal? I see AA working for everyone with nVidia, but ATI users just completely get the shaft? Even after 3 years? This is making me lose confidence in Cyberpunk 2077 which was my most wanted game.

I'm using an AMD Radeon 7870 XT, and I get all graphics options available to me, including Anti-Aliasing (AA). What's your card? And have you enabled the Advanced Options from the settings on the launcher? You can't change graphics settings like AA in game.

It's an R9 270X. And yes, I have set it in the advanced options, or the ini, or any way you could possibly try to enable any sort of AA. It all results in nothing. The game is completely resistant to all forms of AA.

How are you testing to see if the AA is working? Also, have you tried forcing AA on in the Catalyst Control Center?
I'm using r7 260x and AA is working properly. Also, you can easily force SMAA with injectors.

The in-game AA for W2 is very lightweight. I turn off AA and turn on Ubersampling, instead, which does a great job of FSAA--you cannot improve upon Ubersampling = 2 , imo, with driver-forced AA. HD 7850 2GB, and no problems. Only reason to force AA from the driver instead of using Ubersampling is if your gpu cannot handle Ubersampling at a playable frame rate. My previous card, an HD 5770 1GB, could not handle Ubersampling while keeping the game playable.
