I've forgotten my The Witcher login password(yeah my memory is really bad). I've tried to recover it by entering the email address and it say that the instruction's been sent but when I login to my email address I've found nothing. I'm living in Vietnam BTW so I wonder if CDP has any problem with the IP address.

Oh and I've also turned off SpamGuard. And I'm having the Steam version

Have you checked if it maybe landed in the spam?
Can anyone help me please? :( It's been 2 hours and I haven't received any password recovery email.
This is even worse than you think.

I created a new account with a password that I copied and pasted. It contained special characters like ´%=~. I was not able to log in with the password, even though it was still in the clip board.

I tried the pasword recovery function for days and never got a mail.

I ended up creating another account with a cheap password.
Cheap password? What do you mean?
Anyone else have this problem? :(

I tried signing up at the forum for over a month and never received the validation email even after many "re-sends" and a couple of emails. ( No response to those either BTW)

It seems their websites/servers have been a malfunction for a while now, in fact, I almost didn't buy the game because I figured that if they couldn't get a simple email validation sent how would they ever get the game itself to function.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong:

But I was under the impression when you registered your copy of Witcher 2 you HAD TO CREATE A NEW Login and password. The account name and password for The Witcher 1 could NOT be used to register # 2.

And I am sure that I saw this on the official front page of The Witcher 2 website!

And it must be OK, as I used the same email address for both accounts.

I've had this problem since LAUNCH. I made a thread about the exact same issue a week ago, and it's still not working.

Emailed support on witcher.com, told them about my problem, their response "create a new account"..... well that's not going to work, since the game is tied to my greenfish account.

If you have the energy you might want to contact support.

My thread: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/requested_a_new_password_on_witcher_com_24_hours_ago_still_nothing
I have the same problem. :( Plus i have the collectors edition and now i cant download any DLC.
CDP really screwed up big time on the account server >_>
Guys, I believe I have found the reason to my (and most likely our) problem. I've found out that the email address that I meant to use to to activate the code has the ".vn" (the country internet code) at the end of the email address(just found that our today, I'm not the type to use e-mail much so I rarely look at it throughly), and I've actually activated the code using the same email address but without adding the ".vn" part at the end, also tried to use password reset without adding the ".vn" part at the end. So basically, I've activade my code using a none-existant email address. *sigh*. I've sent a support ticket(actually the second, my first support ticket was sent using the same email address but without adding the ".vn" part) to CDP with the proof of purchase. Hopefully, they will help me.

Their password rec server have been down for almost 2 weeks now. They are well aware of the problem, but they won't fix it for some reason.

+1 for this problem - if Code Red want us to purchase via GOG and want us to register the game they REALLY should fix this problem!

Well supposedly that was the way it was supposed to work, then once things were up and running they would merge the two, if you had previously registered on the other forum. Apparently it worked in theory but not in practice, or hasn't as yet. Heck, I created a new account and used the same stuff I used in the old forum. : )
