after finishing the game on what decisions i would (generally) make irl, i backtracked and chose the iorveth path. a couple times vernon saves my hide anyway, says he's going to keep me to promise (of revenging folstam)...so i assume an appearance in the third act, or at least, epilogue. instead he's nowhere to be found. i assume i would have a difficult decision -- honor my promise, or save triss. nothing of the sort. in fact i chose to ignore triss and she still ended up fine. and vernon is nowhere to be seen. at least in the roche ending there is a mention & update on iorveth (who i consistently sided against & never had any interaction with after the ambush in the forest).

i really liked vernon, in part because of the person who did his voice (iorveth was also great); i think they outshined everyone else in the game. it was bizarre to side 'against' him, have further (positive) interaction with him, & then never hear another thing. is this automatic or can it be changed by decisions made in chapter 3??
