This is a list of issues/bugs witch annoying me. Copied from this thread.

1) I have lost Geralts control many times during the fight when tried to throw knives or petards by pressing 'R' key. Sometime during the fight a 'Q' keypad becomes unresponsive. I wanna cast spell not wait to be killed.

2) Drinking of potions (elixirs) takes lot of time and is holding. Lot of confirmations, fade-out/ins and every time video of Geralt drinking potion and throwing empty flacon away.

3) When in dialog with some craftsman, tradesman or poker player I have to quit dialog and talk to him/her again to choose another action. Missing shortcuts in dialog to move from buy/sell dialog to craft and also option to play another poker game when I lost the current one.

4) Also missing shortcuts to move between Character screen, Inventory screen, Journal Screen and Map. Every time have to return to live game and than pres requested screen key. 'C', 'M', 'I', 'J' keys do nothing when in some screen.

5) In Inventory screen missing "Total defense number" and "Total attack number" of currently equipped weaponry a armor.

6) Inventory and items display isn't providing an easy survey. Lists are short so man must still scroll with something to find/see some item. Texts are needlessly big. Chosen item lacks some details. Missing filtering and sorting options.

7) Why need to have all of the crafting manuals? Why not to learn to journal and sell manual later.

8) Books in shop and in Invertory, are not marked as read/unread. THIS IS CRAZY.

9) GUI is bloated with Confirmation dialogs like "Do you really do this/drink this/learn this/..." For example Character screen could have one Commit dialog and indicators how the current skill if taken affects Total power, health, etc.

10) Each herb in TW1 has its places and conditions where it grows. In TW2 are placed randomly.

11) Missing birds in the air and other animal on the ground like dogs, cats, pigs, ducks, fowls (seen in TW1).

13) When in Shopping/Crafting screen, there is no way how to compare attributes of your currently equipped weapon/armor with that you are deciding to buy/craft.

14) Frequently I'm unable to open the door, when staying too close. Have to step aside and try it again (very annoying).

15) Poor management of resources item in alchemy screen when creating potions.

+ When I have saved the Troll in Chapter 1 and he said that he is going to rebuild the bridge. I expected that he do so and when I return after sometime, there will be new shiny bridge.
Wouldn't it be better if looting/talking/interacting wasn't assigned to the same damn key as attacking? I always end up lighting torches in combat and getting killed.

In this old demo, looting and interacting was assigned to the "F" key --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOGD-VQTW-E&feature=related

Why did they change this?

-Don't make us exit from each menu to enter a new one. This goes for shops as well as Gerlt's inventory.

-Don't make us meditate before drinking potions...PLEASE.

-List number of equiped bomb/weapon in the main UI. Currently, we have to exit to inventory to know this. Makes no sense...

-Implement a grid inventory like the first game, one that includes sorting...like the first game.

-Comparison tabs for shops so we know: how many of that item we currently own, what its stats are, etc. This goes for books and recipes as well.

-Show books and recipes player has read, as being read. Again, like the first game did.

-Improve targeting for opening doors, looting. Maybe you need to bring back the reticule. Like the one the first game had. :)

-Alchemy panel uses most valuable ingredients by default. makes no sense.

- I personally think the animations for bomb and dagger throwing need to be smoothed out, made a bit quicker.

-Fix hot key lag

-Fix 'R' key bug, where if you press it, Geralt can no longer draw his sword.

I love you guys at CDPR, and you got all the big things right in this game. But the UI is one of least functional I've ever encountered in a AAA release. Just being honest here. What puzzles me is you had already solved most of these issues in Enhanced Edition of TW1, then for some reason you decided to start back at square one again in TW2..... O_o
very small stuff but it would be cool if they put a recipe for Whetstones ( let's say 1x element stone , 1x essence of water , 2 endrega teeth for instance ) , because currently , we can't buy them anywhere

+20% damage for 20 minutes? I think it is a limited edition item.
Found another changes needed :

- An indication may be vety useful after complete quests : what is the reward, at least it must be seen on left of the screen, as same as loot, and if possible in the end of quest logs...
- There is no precise time indication, unlike the first game : it's often a pain to know what time is it, the black & white icon doesnt help with that, nor the little arrow pointing outside...
- When talking to another NPC sitting on a table, it will be much appreciable to let Geralt sit near them, instead of let them standing upright : noticed in Flotsam, talking to Triss and other friends around the table after their first common discussion.
- Total number and total price alike must be seen on all selected items in the inventory, as well as unselected ones.
- Total sum of actually sold items must be visible. For now, only quantity sold and unit price is visible.

Some bug report :

- Schematic for the "Robust Kaedwinian sword" gives a short sword instead.
- In the Kaedwinian settlement, after speaking to NPC sitting around a campfire, Geralt is automatically replaced near the fire, and tend to burn itself immediately after ending conversation... funny, but not very immersive ^^
- Characters tend to "reset" their last animation right after speaking to Geralt : those that were sitting on a table with him appears to immediately re-sit on, and there are some other like that. Seen in some quests in Kaedwinian settlement.

As mentioned in this thread already (but I realised it makes more sense to post this here), the following is what I'd like to see fixed:

[quoting myself]
The most important fix I'd wish for is the spawning or rather the ridiculous vanishing of enemies/monsters. In fact, that's why I have stopped playing the game altogether. I found it absolutely annoying that whenever I tried to attack some Endregas outside Flotsam that they were vanishing before I could even hit them and right in front of me.

Also I used to save a lot, especially when I had just won a battle/killed a monster/enemy. I found that when I was loading such a save game in for example the woods outside Flotsam where certain types of monster use to spawn, the game always spawned a new monster after loading the game.

That isn't really a bug but it still always felt queer to me that another monster was spawning in an area that I had just successfully cleared of all enemies after loading a game.

Additional points I'd like to see improved/fixed:
- Sound balancing
- Make patch installation optional rather than applying it automatically (this is also very annoying as I personally felt that I had less problems with v1.1 than I have now with v1.2)
- Option to turn off the annoying commercials during game start-up (What the funk were you thinking? I don't need to be told again and again who programmed the freakin' game!)
- Sluggish controls. Especially I wish for an improvement for looting/stepping up & down cliffs/opening doors.

Btw., if I ever needed a reminder that I'm only playing a computer game, no matter how hard the developers tried to make it feel alive, it comes in the form of me (as in The Player) walking behind a NPC that is opening a door and trying to step through exactly that opened door, only to run into an invisible wall, having to wait for the door to close and open it up again by myself.
[/quoting myself]

On top of that the game version should be shown in the game menu.

Thoric: Alphabetical sorting of journal entries and inventory.

geraltgeralt: SECOND THAT!
I'll third it.

And there are a lot of excellent suggestions listed by other posters!

Dunno if it's a bug, but in the quest for the three artifacts, Geralt has to cross the magic fog to reach Vergen.

At this point, the earned experience (for slaying wandering monsters) seems to be gone...
First, after talking to Detmold about crossing the fog, I got 2000 xp and reach lvl 20. There was about 25 xp left to get lvl 21.
The icon for earning xp from quest didn't appears, but I gain 2 levels.
Then, I slay a couple of corpse eaters and got a dozen XP points.

Right after that, I cross the fog with Zoltan, and battle against dead soldiers, but no one seems to earn me XP.

After entering to Vergen, if sook for artifacts, and got some trouble in forest with bandits fighting Nekkers (North of the map). After defeating them, still no XP earned, from nekkers or bandits at all...
That looks weird, does this means Geralt earns no more XP from little monsters after reaching a certain level ? I dont think so, beacause there is 12 lvl more to lvl 32.

Tried to reload the game and restart a previous save, but seems to change nothing.
I'll continue the game, but i'd rather prefer that's not an issue, because finishing the game may be hard... ^^

EDIT : after finding the first artefact (The Banner), things return to normal : slayed Harpies gives 4/5 xp as normal.
But between crossing the fog and completing first part of this quest, no xp at all for monsters like nekkers, ghost of warriors, wraiths, and bandits.

For me, mostly just the UI issues. I've had the "can't do anything" bug, but not the slowdown some people have experienced. Also, if more DLC is in the works, Loc Muine needs more love :)
I want my Geralt to look like this
Attachments:
Add QuickLoad and storage Chest DLC, Audio Options and i'll be happy.
Quest items should have their quest flag cleared when there are no more affiliated quests.

This is most important with Seltkirk's armor; you're not allowed to sell or drop quest items, it's not something that compares well with armor later on (e.g. Draug, Vicovaro, Ysgith)... and it weighs quite a few pounds. It also has no special utility after you've completed Eternal Battle.

I carried this to the end in my Iorveth run simply because I couldn't get rid of it. The weight was mitigated somewhat by having saved Aryan (so Strong Back) and extra capacity from the Elder Blood items, but still, this is obnoxious.
Sorry, I have another nit-pick. Starting in Chapter one, there is a bird call sound file that is loud and incessant. It is not a crow or a duck. It is a songbird. This bird is so loud that my sister can hear it across the room at her computer and I can hear hers, and we both use headphones. Unfortunately, just turning down the sound will not help because we want to be able to hear the music and the dialogue. My question is: What is the name of that bird call, where is the file located, can it be adjusted for a lower volume? Is there any possibility for relief from this one bird? Real life birds on the porch are starting to answer it.
Excellent post OP

I can echo most but especially the following:

- Ability to compare a weapon or piece of armor to one that's currently equipped (in a shop or crafting menu)

- Ability to switch between menus while in one instead of having to exit out and jump into a new menu. TW1 had this, I don't see this being too hard.

- Make menus a toggle: for example, Press I to get your inventory and press I again to leave it.

- Have the map centered on geralt's current location

- Ability to place map markers and/or notes

- The delay time for loot to appear from a corpse needs to be reduced.

- Perhaps add an indicator to show you if the target is within range of your ranged weapons and signs.

- Block needs to be timing based instead of using stamina.

- Ability to see ingredient types at a quick glance (in the inventory rather in the alchemy menu)

- Improve gamesave management (e.g. delete button and autosave overwrites)

- increase traps' interactivity range, showing you the bottons for what to do with them from a longer distance. As it is, it's too easy to get caught in a trap even if you know where it is

More responsive keys during battle

Map mouse wheel to change active sign

Camera zoom

Target seems to jump around quite a lot when there's more than one mob

When talking to random people they always say the same thing. You could have maybe 2 or 3 sentences that vary every time you click "talk" on the same character

Fix crashing to desktop issue on 32bit OS with 4gb and less RAM. I loaded win7 64bit and fixed the issue.

CD Projekt, awesome game but please invest more time in UI / battle and less in graphics. World of Warcraft is a classic example of medium graphics but excellent UI, perfected battle system and it proves very successful. Gameplay is far more important than cutting edge graphics, although I do appreciate it still.
