iamin7ove: wow...just found out Draug armor in Iorveth's path is a huge ripoff
Formula sold at first moment
Ingredient found at near end chapter
BUT
after you found the ingredient, no craftsmen will be found.
so
basically the armor can only be crafted at a while INTO chapter 3
where you get side quests for many other better armor
...
Good thing i was a cheapskate and decided only to buy when i have enough material
Damn, good thing I read this before buying it! On my second playthrough on hard and I over spent early on with rune upgrades and am trying to save cash for the later chapter where money is harder to come by.

I though the gear was useless too on my first play-through on Roche side, but now on my second play through Iorveth side I just added the diagram for the armor of Y's to the loot table of the blacksmith and the mysterious merchant. On my third play-through all just change the ingredient requirements for the Draug schematic so I can use it at the start of the game.
That, sir, is called cheating >_>.
It doesn't help you much anyway. Unless you gonna be a MADMAN

Kirth-Gersen: Yeah I have beat everybody at fistfighting and arm wrestling, but the dice is a no go for me I dont like it and dont understand it much. In fact that is exactly how I am in real life, no luck games for me, never interested me.
I am in the other corner. I like the dice, but don't care much for the arm wrestling and Fist fighting because of the mechanics. I do them, but don't like them.

After I beat the game once without mods I don't mind messing around with the values of item and loot tables for my enjoyment during a second and third play-through.
Yeah I get it, it just a matter of taste, anyway I am already at Act III, so I guess it is pretty late to face any other dice players, given how you must defeat previous ones from the other chapters. I mean I supposed it is like fistfigthing and arm wrestling on that matter.
I sold 5 whetstones at some point in chapter 1, as they were surprisingly heavy and i'd not used them much..

the fella selling them then wanted 6520 orens for them

I never knew whetstones were so highly sought after... lol :)
I have not seen one whetstone in the whole game! and I am in act 3 already.

They are part of the Ultimate Swordsman Suit pre-order DLC and are otherwise not available in-game. You get 10 of them, they add 20% damage when used on your blade and have a longer duration than equivalent oils.

Additionally, while we're on this topic, I've made a mod to alter the ratio between sale and purchase market price, making it more in-line with the original Witcher game.

iamin7ove: Sold an armor for like 90 orens and see its price is now 900 orens...
I understand the basic of selling and buying by playing trading games but...this is just ridiculous...10 times?
Furthermore, this is not trading good we're talking about. Only trade goods like spices and stuffs like that should get the price change of THIS CALIBER

If anyone got an explanation i would want to hear it >_>...
Otherwise, think anyone outhere want to make mod to fix prices ?
thats nothing.. did you checked how much a potato cost??? 13orens.. so.. one dinner and you lost 900orens( if you want to buy same armor you sold for 90orens )

Alakar: ...it would be nice to have the option of being able to buy all the diagrams from the traders without going broke.
I couldn't disagree more. Wanting is much better for game design than having everything and being some overpowerful cartoon.

For me, anyway.
Ok, I see.

Thanks for the info.

RageGT: The price you see is not the price they sell for. That's Item value. The selling price is in the low right side of the screen. And it's not that much higher than you sold it.

vAddicatedGamer: So what you are saying is that Geralt and NPCs are trading at way below the item's value?I am not so sure that is true.

But in case some of you are not aware, when there are multiple items the upper part of inventory/shopping screen shows the price of all those items together whereas the bottom part shows the price of individual item.
My bad. That was it. I forgot that I had already figured that out. My first thought was that they sold cheaper than full value too... heh
I once sold mutagens for 700 orens.. you can imagine what was their price ;)
