Alritey, I've spent many hours searching on the internet trying to fix my this problem, but no luck

No matter what I do, the Witcher 2 refuses to launch. Launcher just shows the medallion when I hit "Launch Game" and if I try to start it by the .exe, nothing happens. I've re-installed, restarted, re-installed directx, .net framework, etc. but no no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got basically the same problem, except that I get a error message NET Framework 4.0.30319 needed

Can you give us some more info on your system? OS, video card, etc.?

So I've ran into that problem and it turns out it was having a problem with my A/V (I use Avast). Basically I set the "Behavior" shield to have an exclusion for the launcher.exe in the main folder for the game and witcher2.exe in the bin folder.

I have a missing "mfc100u.dll" file. I have deleted and reinstalled three times and no change.

Windows 7, 8GB RAM, plenty of HDD space, 64bit OS

Try installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64)

Didn't do anything. Installed C++, uninstalled game, reinstalled, same message. Another game from GOG works fine.

This thread fixed my problem. The C++ that I first tried didn't work, the 2010 version worked.

Greetings! I'm having problems with my game, doesn't want to launch it says d3dx9_39.ddl is missing.
