Yes, I'm one of those people who raged at the default control scheme.
Yes, it took me ragequitting before finding the rebinding options in the launcher.
Now, sure .. I understand that the UI gets changed to reflect which keys are bound to what, but .. not having rebinding ingame is .. unintuitive and downright horrible.
Having said all that, once I figured out a control scheme I'm happy with, the game is amazing.
Here's a couple of videos of me experimenting with the system.
This is one fight early in the prologue, with an unleveled (no points spent) Geralt.
The only thing I changed from a brand new game is equipping a Temerian Sword.

SPOILERS if you care about those.
Built Geralt to be an Adrenaline junkie, and was trying out different combos to see how efficient they are.
Turns out Igni is pretty good.
