I've tried verifying the game but the title screen just says 1.04. The patch is not in the Backups & Extras part either. What gives?

No guarantees, but sometimes you need to do a manual refresh of your account to see changes. Try:

Had to install the patch manually, still couldn't get it to show up.

Same for me here in the UK (If that makes a difference) - No sign of the 1.05 patch not even after an account 'refresh'.
Doesn't show up in Galaxy either.
