thekersy100: With the sale on, its a good time to look for new games- this is why i thought i'd ask as it seems a good time to buy. i liked the withcer storylines, how you got to pick and choose your way through, the open worlds, the character interactions, exploration and the fact that its not a shoot em up game.
Well. All right. I'll pick a few titles that I personally enjoy, send you links and you tell me whether you find them interesting and if not, why - that way we can then make more suggestions based on what you disliked about previous ones, but we should probably start somewhere. All right, here goes:
My personal favorite,
Pillars of Eternity. It's a huge game with excellent story, fun lore and background to discover. Main differences from Witcher 3 are that you don't control a single character, but rather a party which makes combat a good deal more complicated. Good news is that the game contains "Story mode" difficulty which will allow AI to take care of most combat for you.
Then there's
Jade Empire from Bioware, games from which CD Project has taken a lot of inspiration from. I have chosen Jade Empire specifically because it has pretty reasonable graphics, action-orientated battle system, but it's also got very good storyline, fun dialogues and a lot of decisions you can make troughout. It is not open world however, its structure is much more similar to Witcher 1 and 2 than to Witcher 3.
And the last recommendation I'm going to make to keep things varied is
Shadowrun: Dragonfall. Turn-based combat system (think chess, but it's more complicated and far easier at the same time), excellent story and character, but a good deal more linear.
Take a look at these three and tell us if you find them interesting or not and if not, why precisely.
