I'm having an issue with Geralt's beard. It seems to have been at the exact same length ever since arriving in Velen.

I do not have the Beard DLC downloaded or installed.
I do have "HairWorks" enabled. I've tried disabling it and that seems to make no difference.
I got a haircut once but it was only the hair and not the beard.

I've got some 35 hours logged into the game. I just arrived in Skellige and have completed all the main quests thus far. It just seems like the beard should be longer by now given that the beard grew (what seemed to be a solid inch) while waiting on the griffin to arrive.

So, does any one know what triggers the beard growth?
Does anyone know how quickly or in what increments the beard grows?
Does anyone know of any issues (beard DLC aside) that cause the beard not to grow?

Maybe you reached the maximum growth already? There is a limit to how long it can be... sorry no Dwarf beard sizes...

Mine just randomly becomes a big bushy beard haha
It would be cool if you could shave your beard with the razors you can get but go to the barber if you wanted a style or to change style.

Anyone else getting the return of the neck tattoo when they use the cusom beards? lol

Shame you can't just keep growing it until you get a full on wizard beard :D

His beard grew without the DLC too, very slowly, but it grew!

It sounds like it's just reached the maximum size.

Incidentally, the DLC stopping beard growth isn't a glitch; the idea is that if you select a DLC beard then you want that appearance, you don't want it to change. If you get a clean shave, that's when the beard will start to grow over time. I suppose they could've fixed this by having it always grow regardless but having a some kind of beard tonic you can get that freezes it at that length.

A trimmed beard still grows out as well as the clean shave xD
I like the trimmed beard look but it grows out so fast then I have to go to the barber haha

I just started having this issue. No growth whatsoever, and when I go to a barber the "clean shave" option has vanished. I figured I'd try to DL the DLC (which I've avoided until now because I heard it stops this mechanic), only to find a page with CDPR saying it's been included in the newest patch, but I have no beards option at all. All I can do is change between two hairstyles.

Guess chalk this up to another bug? It's annoying as I like my Geralt looking like a hobo, he's far too pretty now.

Anyone know of a fix to this?
