I done missing patrol in wrong order - kill the contract first then follow the trail - no trophy, can't finish quest. Any workaround?

OK,i found trophy - game puts new trophy in active trophy slot removing the one in use, thats strange, i would expect that new trophy land in my inventory but ... with trophy i tried to go to quest giver - and it work. Quest giver is in niflgard army camp - on the map its right-down.
