I just got to do battle with the griffon with Vesimir and the beast got the best of me. After I died while it was reloading my last save game, the bottom right of the screen had a 3/4" rotating spinner to indicate loading that just continued forever and never loaded the game. After 2-3 minutes I ALT-TAB'd out of the game and had to kill it in task manager as it was livelocked.

Dunno if anyone else experienced this with the griffon battle or any other point in the game or not but thought I'd mention it here at least.
