Hey all,

I encounter this problem when i need to save/ search for margritta in the prison. As soon as i kill the witchhunters, i hear her voice, and then the infinite loading screen appears. I tried to do other quests just before this part of the game, but to no avail. i do need to end this quest before i can continue the final part of the battle with The Wild Hunt boss.

I tried to log in to the CDproject red forums; but for some reason it doesn't recognize my gog login :(

An infinite loading screen suggests that either your game is not fully patched, or that the installation is corrupt/has conflicting mods or scripts. Remove ALL mods, verify/repair your game, or uninstall/re-install with current version installers, and that includes DLCs.

As for the CDP forums, this issue is because of cookies. You MUST allow third party cookies, because the CDP forums uses your GOG cookie as well as its own.

Did all off the above. No luck. This is starting to annoy me.

did a new install, no mods at all. Still the same issue. This means that my saves are corrupted. tried several ones. Used the debug console once, in the very early stage of the game, i used the witchcraft command( gives you everything you need/ use/ armor etc in the game). Not sure if this is the culprit, but i'm lvl 34 in the mean time, should have encountered a gamebreaking bug much sooner i think.

That doesn't hold up. That'll do it. Your saved games are screwed.

The question is why the game only screws up after so long? I did encounter some minor issues, like contracts that wouldn't finish, but no major issues. After the fresh install i did not install any mods, but the debug console items are still in my save games. But to use the console itself (godmode, healme etc) you need to install the debug mod. Not done that in the fresh install.

That's correct. Where would you expect them to be?

I don't expect an item in my inventory to crash the game, since i don't need one to finish the quest.

You never mentioned anything about crashing. You stated that the issue was an infinite loading screen. As I have already told you, this is normally due to a corrupt game or save, and as you have admitted, you have used the console in a way that was never intended. I really don't know what you expect.
