is there a way to gift a game to a friend ?

i bought the game awhile ago, had trouble installing it, took a few days to work it out and its installed now but i'm yet to play it.

can i gift my copy to a friend or get a refund ? since i haven't even played it yet ?
You have to talk to gog. From what you said, I don't think you meet the requirements for a refund, but they try to be accommodating. You might be able to get store credit.

Gifting of The Witcher 3 is disabled at the moment, because they were seeing a lot of fraudulent transactions.

since i had loads of trouble installing it i went out and bought it on PS4 so they got more money out of me then they would have on PC lol.
you wont get a refund, but they'll probably offer you store credit. That seems to be their thing. Though they're now finally being beaten by steam since steam has their new refund policy in place now. With steam you get 2 weeks/2hours play time to make you mind up. So if you don't lay the game for 2 weeks you can get a refund, or if you play for under 2 hours and decide you don't like it, you get a refund. And it's not store credit, it goes bak to the payment method you paid with
funny thing is i was supposed to get a steam key for the game but the company i pre-ordered through was out of keys and said i could have a NVIDIA/GoG key so i took that instead of the refund which was only $30 bucks for this game.

but as i said before playing it on PS4 so real iffy about keeping the PC version thats why i was wondering about the refund.
No chance of getting a refund from GOG if you bought elsewhere
