Is there any way to properly store items ? Even the ingame tips tell you to keep on to your witcher gear so you can upgrade it later. I tried putting my stuff on the ground next to a fast travel marker so i can pick it up later but it vanished. Now i had to recraft the Cat set again. If there really is now way to actually store items at a tavern or in a storage box then i'd like to know how CDPR managed to not implent this feature even though it was in 1 and was later patched into 2 WTF

Only thing you can do is improve your storage capacity with horsebags... but that's not enough I think, we need a place to stash gear (like witcher gear) that we won't need for many hours but we want to keep it to upgrade it later. As it is now it clutters our inventory.

there is no such feature, but you can carry a LOT.
And you can increase the weight with horse bags (and get better ones in the course of the game)

by the way i sold my initial witcher stuff :D is there a way to get it again, or is it even worth upgrading later on?
I have some viper school swords though whitch are also witcher items, so i assume there will be many different witcher items that i can upgrade.

Thats exactly the problem, you can upgrade every Witcher equipment, do they really excpect me to have all these armors and weapons in my inventory at all time ?

As others have stated, saddle bags are your only real option for more storage at the moment. Hopefully CDPR will add some sort of stash box.
