Hey Folks,

i wonder if it is possible to reassign the button assignment for the xbox360 controller for windows pc ingame?
i would prefer light and heavy attack on the right hand shoulder button and trigger instead of x and y - buttons, etc.
i played souls and bloodborne before and changing camera angle while fighting feels much better for me...

is this possible?

Can you tell me what the two buttons you want to swap onto do by default? I don't use a controller but I can check what to change in the settings file.
x = light attack
y = heavy attack

The input.settings file has a list for all the Pad buttons as well, you may want to give it a try editing that file.
(it's in your Documents/The Witcher 3 folder)
trigger = execute sign
button = quick item menu
Open the input.settings file in //My Documents\The Witcher 3
Search for

IK_Pad_X_SQUARE, that is the X button
IK_Pad_Y_TRIANGLE, that is Y

IK_Pad_RightTrigger - trigger
IK_Pad_RightShoulder - shoulder

Swap them around for the actions you want to change. Make sure you check if that specific button has any other functionality as they might clash with the one you chose.
will ingame icons be changed, too?

Good question mate, I mentioned I don't have a controller, but you are always free to try and report your findings here. I assume they do.
They do!
Oh boy, his makes the whole process more absurd. No option for modifying button assignments ingame... Amateurs xD
