Hi,

in short: got me bombs (all, enhanced too), can TAB to mark them for use in front of any monster nest, hitting "E", though, leaves me with the not that helpful message "you've got not the right bomb".

Again, got them all, can throw them, only destroying monster nests does not work.

Anybody with similar problems and/or solutions?
Thank you for reading...

You don't have to physically throw them. Just have them in your inventory, approach the nest, and interact with the nest with the "E" button once you see the prompt. Note that you can only do that when out of combat, so clear out the enemies around the nest before attempting to destroy it. At first you only have Samum and Grapeshot, but later you'll find recipes for other bombs that can destroy monster nests.
@ Charon121:

... like I pointed out it is exactly the "E" (use) part that is not working.

- Monsters are eradicated
- nearing the nest the game offers me to destroy the nest
- hitting "E" (like I said before) will do nothing but bring up this nifty message of me not having the right bomb.

Now - as far as I can remember this only happens this way since installing 1.04?

So again: any help would be VERY welcome.
I never have to select bombs with TAB, it's enough to have at least one in my inventory. If it worked before, it's definitely a bug, though I haven't encountered it yet. You can also try Igni'ing the nest, though it might not work. Or wait until you can craft Dancing Star, if you don't have it yet. In any case, try throwing away all your bombs and meditating to replenish them, that might jolt the bug away.
@ Charon121:

will try the throwing away "method (if you can call it that way) :) then.
Still strange...
You have "E" for interact? Stupid suggestion, but try to remap key and see what happen. At times I got failed prompts here and there, sometimes rebinding keys helped.

Yep, "E" for interact (never changed the key binding). Interaction works in every other situation.

And...threw away all my bombs, meditated afterwards >>> nothing changed.

Normally these nests would not bother me at all - let them hatch by all means - but not eradicating the nest will keep me from getting to the loot - not good.

Any way to fall back prior to 1.04?

EDIT:

To not leave anything out, I remapped the keys though I >>>never changed them in the first place<<<!

Srange as this is, the remapping of the keys that had been in the default state did the trick!!
Finally I am able - again - to crush them nests.

No, except by reinstalling the entire game, but the 1.05 patch should be released today, according to some indications. One more thing to try: stand by the nest, save and reload, try again. Saving & reloading has helped me with some bugs regarding NPCs, maybe it will work here too.

I prefer dice. But thanks. Prosit! :)

Just in case - the more I played the game (took me 192 hours to complete) the more of similar issues appeared, especially in complex missions (i.e. not simple "go there and kill it" or "here is corpse with note and key, and 20 metres away his lootable container"). Not only interaction prompts disappear, but also NPCs AI may be turned off completely, scripts could be broken, leading to cutscenes that are not activated, you may be teleported to wrong place during cutscene, NPCs may stuck somewhere, or receive wrong waypoint, or wrong idle animation, in last few days game started to turn my fast hit into strong one during the combat, or undress Geralt here and there (thankfully partial striptease mostly:)). Was unable to solve the problem, so I'll repeat the wisdom of our forefathers: save often and in different slots. And do not use keys we can't unbind, like "C", as game still may take it for sheathing, for example.
