Why does Triss not just teleport the witches out of Novigrad instead of escaping through the canalisation sewerage system? Is that mentioned in the story? Did I miss something?

Also it's extremely annoying that she disappears after this quest and you can't talk to her to finish this damn statue quest.

Not all of those people were sorceresses or sorcerers. Also it takes a great deal of power to teleport that many people and by the looks of it Triss was the only badass sorceress there and it would have killed her and probably all the people if she had tried to teleport them. Magic in the witcher world puts alot of strain on your own body and doing too much or too big spells can or will kill you.

There's another point in the game where Yennefer refuses to teleport Geralt, Roach an another character for those reasons above.
