Hello,
I am using 2 Gigabyte G1 GTX 970's in SLI and 3 1920x1080 3D monitors.
I have 3D disabled and bezel correction on so my resolution is 6000x1080.
I have been having trouble getting a decent framerate with the game at this resolution and was wondering if anyone else using SLI and widescreen has found a fix.
Ultra settings at 1920x1080 pins the framerate at 60 (that's another issue - my monitors are 120Hz but the settings menu only goes up to 60 - but that's not a big deal).
Ultra settings at 6000x1080 gives me about 20 to 25 fps and it's jumpy.
Low settings at 6000x1080 gives me about 25 to 28 fps and it's jumpy.
There must be something wrong that I'm missing if the lowest settings aren't making the framerate skyrocket.
I installed the newest nVidia drivers last night which were supposed to include a Witcher 3 SLI profile.
I think my next step is to remove one of the 970s and see if it's still the same, which would mean SLI isn't working at all with this game.

So maybe someone else has a similar setup and can share their secret to get it working?
Just so you know, 6000x1080 is a lot of pixels.... I also run SLI 970 and have my cards OC'd, but I recently sold my 3 27" 2560x1440 for a single 3440x1440 monitor. I can hit a stable 60 fps with everything maxed except hairworks, with hairworks I get 50ish. but 6000x1080 is a lot of pixels, your probably just not able to handle that many for this game unfortunately.
I'm curious if this is not an issue with the 3.5gb + 0.5gb of RAM issue with the 970's. Have you monitored your ram usage while gaming to see if it's crossing 3.5gb?

Considering you're having the same issue on low it's probably not. Worth a check though I guess.
I personally don't think its a ram issue as to why hes getting low FPS. If I enable DSR, basically supper sample on 3440x1440, my resolution becomes basically 6880x2880 and I still manage to get a steady 35 fps anywhere I go and that is leaps and bounds more pixels than what you are using. Maybe you have an issue somewhere else. I would recommend completely removing your gfx drivers and that utility to completely remove them and start fresh.
Yes, it is a lot of pixels. But, there appears to be something the Witcher doesn't like with SLI + multi-monitor.

for others with the same issue. The GPUs aren't being fully utilized according to some who've been able to test it.

I did some testing. Changing to 1920x1080 with video settings on Ultra and post processing on High (the maximum) the fps pinned out at 60. I tried enabling 3D Vision (which doubles the frames - left eye/right eye - same as having 2 monitors) and with everything maxed out I had a pretty steady 41 fps with the lowest dip down to 39 fps.

With 3D off, and settings on as low as they go and 3 screens (slightly more than 1.5 times the pixels of 1920x1080 in 3D - slightly more because of the bezel correction) I get 50 fps, which is a huge improvement over version 1.02 - I installed 1.03 today.
With the 1.03 patch I get an average 24 fps on ultra @ 6000x1080. But turning down some settings is improving the frame rate now, where in 1.02 it didn't seem to make much difference.

I haven't yet had a chance to test with a single card to determine how well SLI is scaling. (Been trying to complete GTA 5.)

Just pointing out something really minor i just found out: the settings menu has 3 settings for framerate: unlimited, 30, and 60. Not sure if that helps. Not sure why the unlimited setting is at the left instead of the right.

I'll have to try that Unlimited setting at 1920x1080.

I just did some other testing using GPU meters. In The Witcher 3, I only get 50% to 60% GPU utilization. With everything else it goes to 100%. I compared it with GTA V @ 6000x1080 with everyting on Very High where I get 60 to 70 fps consistently. If I could get the GPU utilization up, the frame rate should increase drastically.

Pictures are attached.

Edit: Also, there was a question before about if the 3.5gb issue with the GTX 970's might have something to do with it. According to the GPU meters, The Witcher is only using 60% of the video memory, where GTA V is using 80% - and GTA V never stutters. I don't think the memory is the issue. I believe for some reason the drivers or the game are not fully utilizing the GPUs.
