Hi all
Could couple of people who experience random freezes in game (either game 'pauses' or stops until 'display driver stopped working' message pops up and exits the game) please see if the following helps to minimize or eliminate those issues:
-Right click on your computer icon and choose properties
-On top right select 'Advanced system settings' (click 'yes' if UAC message appears)
-Click 'Settings' button and go to advanced tab
-Click change button
-Untick "Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers"
-If you have 2 physical hard drives (not partitions) select the drive that does not have witcher 3 installed on it and set the pagefile at 'Custom size': 'Initial size (MB): 9000' 'Maximum size (MB): 12000'
-Disable paging file on other partitions and hard drives
-Restart your PC
-Start witcher 3 and play for at least 30 mins (or how long you can)
-Post your results in here
--- See Pic for my Page file settings ---
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What I am hoping to see (if your system is anything like mine - does not meet min specs for the game)is that your game will be stable for longer amount of time (perhaps couple more hours). After which the same issue will re appear - 'Crash reason: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION'
I am suspecting that since CPU does not meet recommended specs the page file is not being handled properly by the game thus causing it to bloat and in time having memory issues. I post some more if this will seem to help people.
