Hi everyone,
I am having serious trouble with the family matters quest. I am playing on "Death March" difficulty.
I always die on the multiple wraith that are attacking me, teleporting randomly behind or besides me, becoming invulnerable while doing double swings with sword/lamp, stunning me. Every time I evade one of them another one appears right behind me, so I'm never able to attack them properly.
I first tried the quest when I way level 5 and I struggled for about 2 hours without success. Now I'm on level 10 but I still don't manage it. Anything you guys can advise me?

Are you using the Yrden sign? Cast it, wait inside it for one or both to teleport, then dodge out. When they are done swinging while inside the Yrden, attack. You should be able to kill one with 3 - 4 quick swipes while they're in the trap, if the timing or position is off just retreat and try again.

I tried that already, but I don't manage to dodge one ore more of those in such a small circle...
Any way to increase the size of Yrden?

The Moon Dust bomb may stop them from teleporting, but I haven't tried it myself as my Yrden strategy usually works.

Thanks mate, I'll try your strategy again, if I can't do it I'll go with the bombs.

It's simple. Before starting the quest, make sure you have some food/drink and swallow potions. Tawny Owl and Thunderbolt are also useful, the Specter oil can help you too. I completed this at the highest difficulty level with the temerian armor and the viper school swords. You just use quen out of battle, and as soon as the wraiths appear cast yrden. You DON'T need to focus on one wraith, that's suicide. Just evade every attack you can, perform two or three fast attacks at the nearest wraith, and fall back. If you take damage, use food. If you take a lot of damage, start using both the food and the swallow. Remeber to always use yrden, and if you can spare some stamina cast quen. Any other sign will prove useless against wraiths. Hope it helps mate!
