I just finished off the Return to Crookback Bog story after freeing the tree spirit. I'm not that crazy about the ending, and frankly I would have chosen differently if I'd known as Geralt apparently did already that the tree spirit was in fact evil and not just weird. The main reason I chose that path though was because the Crones were clearly above my pay grade and I figured the enemy of my enemy is my friend. So I'm asking for just a minor spoiler from those who have gotten further in the game to determine whether or not I should keep that choice. Are there any further repercussions for freeing that spirit beyond the ones apparent at the end of the Return to Crookback Bog quest? I don't need details, I just want to know if the game actually had the same thing in mind that I did, or if I was thinking way too far ahead of it.
Story-wise it means that the spirit is now free to wreak havoc, but AFAIK there are no further in-game consequences.

The main source of information about what you're dealing with - apart from the Crones and spirit itself - is a raggedy-green book that it somewhat common, entltled, "She Who Knows". If you read and remembered it, you'd have some forewarning about what might happen.

Thanks!

Strangely, I have that book, and I read every new book I come across, but I had completely forgotten about that one until I read it again.
