Here are my specs:

AMD HD 7870
AMD FX 4170 ~4.2GHz
4GB RAM
Win 7 64-bit

I've been playing the game without very many issues. I definitely don't get 60fps by any means, and I obviously can't crank everything up to Ultra, either, but it was always consistent after I fiddled with some settings. That was earlier today.

I just booted up and Galaxy automatically downloaded a new patch. 1.04, I believe. After this, I can't walk two spaces without extreme stuttering. I tried playing around with the settings again, but nothing I did seemed to help.

Is there any way to go back to 1.03? Or will I have to wait for the next patch?

Thanks!
Delete your old Witcher 3 graphics profile then reconfigure your settings. I suggest toning down post-processing too.

Thank you! Deleting the old profile and re-adjusting everything worked like a charm.
