Hello.After new update ( or maybe is issue with mod ). I had lore-friendly witchers/seasoned witcher.Ofc. i uninstaled it.Beard look really ugly in yellow.

When i start new game, its same.

But, when i loaded my old save from 1.12 version beard look like normal.

Anyone have similar problem like me ? And how to fix it ? Thanks a lot.Sorry for english :smile:

let us say that you do not have any mod running, no Reshade, nothing at all.
If I got this right, you are playing 1.21, version wise.

Well, in Toussaint "they" changed a lot of the visuals - I mean the overall hue of things. It is more vibrant then all other chapters of the game so far.
My guess is that this color change sort of works backwards, and this way changes the other chapters in visuals as well.
But - if so, then this should include the whole of Geralts hair, not only the beard.
That is the reason why I asked about mods. So, if you use a mod, see if it has been updated to the version of the game.

And, there is an "official" patch in the making, might be that your yellow beard will be part of this.

I say it in my previous post.I uninstalled every mods.Now i have ''clean'' Witcher 3.

This beard is only for my ''main'' save.In old save on 1.12 version or in new game is normal beard.


So what I can do ? Reinstall game , wait for update or start new game ?

Im not sure that new game fix this beard, becouse sometimes beard is yellow. For example when I talk with peoples my beard is white, but when i travel in world i have yellow beard.

Geralt travelling incognito? Want to have that, too :) !

Sorry, but - to reinstall is always the last resort, I guess. It only matters how serious the beard issue is for you.
Might as well be, that you did not remove former used mods entirely. In this case reinstalling the game surely will help.

Please, keep in mind that the yellow beard feature is not among the most postet "bugs", so the glitch might entirely be on your side (machine/software).

How is possible it was my software or pc fault, if in old save geralt have ''normal'' beard ,but in my ''main'' save have this ugly XD ?

If you used a mod on an older version of the game (mod and version suited one another), this mod and/or any leftover from this mod could do some kind of havock with the next version of the game.
Mods mostly will be updated/patched, but there is nothing to be sure about when that will happen.
So basically: old mod/new version of the game >>> can not work, in most cases.

Another thought: hairworks >>> if you got it on, turn it off or vice versa.

Forgot: there are hair dressers in every episode of the game: shave more often!

So, one possible way to fix beard is reinstall game , then start new game ?

Becouse if i reinstall game, my save have ''files'' from mods ?

Forgot: Geralt without a beard is no Geralt :D

Honestly, you will have to ask any gamer that uses one or more mods (must be some around) about this.
My best guess is: no/could be/why not/under certain circumstances/yes ...

Just about me being curious: in most cases all you see is the back of Geralt while the front view is reduced to a couple of seconds (at the trader, inn keep, whatever). Does this color really bother you that much?

Not really,but if i play in game like that i want to play like a Geralt, not like a alcoholic Witcher :D

I'm back with some news.


I find the issue. They fck'ed up something with lighting. In night, Geralt have white beard, but in morning and rest of day, he have yellow beard.

But is interesting, i have save from 1.12 patch, and Geralt have normal beard in night and day...

So my question is.If i start playing on old save, i would play blood and wine / hearts of stone on this save ?

Maybe i can solve this problem with any mod lighting ? Or play in my ''main'' save and wait for update ?
