I searched the are around the broken transport, found what i needed to, but nothing more. Where's the beast?

There are a few things to examine there. You end up finding tracks to follow.

Those tracks stop after a short distance. I searched outside the orange area, including a cabin and settlement. Could not find anything

The tracks go to where the road crosses a watery area, with some drowners, then continue up a hill on the other side.
