I remember there was a team that was gonna translate this game but stopped due to the 3DS port which I personally couldnt play because I couldnt afford a 3DS nor did I have the funds to get a better computer to emulate it. I would love to play this one for sure if it gets ported so long as it doesnt have a huge graphics requirement.

While not the strongest game in the Megami Tensei super series in gameplay, it's still very solid there and in a game that really rocks its atmosphere and themes. The "honest" 90s cyberpunk setting, not using it as a vehicle to write more modern political tracts, is a fun setting. The 3DS version is probably the last Atlus remake that didn't just completely ruin the original with some new girl that breaks the plot and changed mechanics for the worse (often trivializing the game). One of my favorite touches was the new dialog that reinforced that the game was set in the Heisei era (ended 2019, and even at the remake's release obviously on its way out by before we got anywhere close to the setting's tech). A shame that excelent remake never made it past the 3DS. Also a shame the sequel was just so completely MEH from all the own goals inflicted by bad corporate practices.

A really weird and cool Saturn RPG that deserves to be accessible to the growing fanbase of Atlus fans and playable in English outside of the tiny 3DS screen that really does the beautiful Saturn cutscenes a disservice. The music here is stellar especially.

Onimusha 3: Demon Siege
Onimusha 3: Demon SiegeOnimusha 3 is the third game of the Onimusha series. The game retains elements from previous games in the franchise including the use of multiple special weapons in order to fight enemies and absorb their energy to enhance the weaponry. This time the player primarily controls both Samanosuke and Jacques in separate scenarios. The two are able to exchange items in order to solve puzzles. The development from this game started after the release of the PlayStation 2 which allowed the team to work on a 3D engine to design 3D backgrounds. In order to appeal to the Western market, the team set this game in Paris and chose French actor Jean Reno to portray Jacques. Onimusha 3 has been generally well received by publications for video games. Most of the writer's praise focused on the improved controls and the use of a 3D engine that allowed better combat and visuals, respectively. The game also generated good sales with over 1.5 million copies sold as of May 2008.

While game retains the action elements from previous Onimusha, it offers a more varied amount of weapons as well as the option of going back to previous stage to unlock new content. The game also introduces a 3D camera as well as the ability to continuously fight alongside AI controlled characters who move depending on the player's orders. Dawn of Dreams was announced by Capcom due to high fan demand and several Capcom members realizing they could expand the action elements from Onimusha after working in Shadow of Rome. The game was designed in order to appeal to skilled gamers rather than the general market which resulted in appealing designs rather than realistic.
