Story:Ghostbusters was published by Sega and developed by Compile for the Mega Drive/Genesis on June 29, 1990. It is unrelated to the earlier Activision game (though their name still appears in the copyright screen), and is instead a run and gun game in which the player takes control of squat cartoon representations of three of the four Ghostbusters from the movie, with the noticeable absence of Winston Zeddemore. Four levels are available initially; after they are completed, a fifth level is unlocked, followed by a sixth and final level. Each level contains a number (usually two) of mid-bosses known as "middle ghosts"; after a middle ghost is defeated, it turns into a small green ghost which can be captured for extra money by luring it over a ghost trap. This was among the first games I got as a kid back in the early nineties with the Mega Drive my mother bought to me and my brother (the other two games were Cyberball and Mortal Kombat). I obviously played the hell out of it as I was too young to buy more games by myself and I've always been a Ghostbusters fan. I still have my copy and I still play it from time to time even though through emulation.
If it were sold here I would get it even only to show appreciation, and I would surely recommend it to other people as it's my favourite Ghostbusters game, with the PS3/XBox360 game of the same title coming second.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - The FallenThe Bajorans believe the alien species that reside in the wormhole near their planet are Prophets, worshipping them as gods and referring to the wormhole as the "Celestial Temple". The game is loosely based on a trilogy of novels by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens called Millennium: The Fall of Terok Nor, The War of the Prophets, and Inferno. Lemmings PaintballUnlike most of the other Lemmings games, it does not use a side-scrolling perspective but instead an isometric view of the levels. The gameplay is also very different from other Lemmings games, focusing on splattering enemies with paint from a gun. The levels contain various puzzles including moving platforms, lemming catapults, and trampolines.
Objects available in the game include:
Duplicator: Can be used to create additional lemmings up to the maximum amount of four. Can also replace lemmings killed in action.
Switch: Can be used to open and close gates, lower platforms and so on.
Gate: Gates block certain areas in a level. They can be opened using a switch or key. Keys can be found in exploding crates.
Exploding crate: Contain a key or a catapult.
Balloon: Can be used to transport a lemming through the air from one specific location to another.Action
Turrican 3After many generations of peace, the Dark Forces have assembled again, and as a member of the USS Freedom Forces, it is your job to defeat them once again. This means you will have to complete numerous large levels always searching for secrets to pick up and enemies to shoot. To do this, you can pick up three different, upgradeable shots: a multiple, a laser and a rebound. You can also go into wheel-mode (as long as you have enough special energy) or use a rope. X-Men: Mutant ApocalypseBecause of a rise of anti-mutant activity in Genosha, Professor Xavier uses Cerebro to scan the island nation and discovers Apocalypse's presence there. Genosha's government is apparently using Apocalypse to bring their mutant population under control. However, Xavier suspects Apocalypse to follow his own plans and sends five X-Men, Cyclops, Wolverine, Psylocke, Beast and Gambit, to investigate.
X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse combines the gameplay of a side-scrolling brawler like Final Fight with elements of a platformer, that is, players have to fight various enemies and survive the occasional jumping-puzzle. Most levels also feature mid- and end-bosses in form of robots, monsters or known Super-Villains.
Each character has unique abilities and special moves: Cyclops uses his Optic Blast to attack enemies from a distance, Wolverine can climb walls, Psylocke is very agile and the best jumper of the team, Beast can cling to the ceiling while Gambit throws explosive cards at his enemies. Special moves are quite similar to those found in Street Fighter II (Wolverine has a Dragon-Punch-style attack and Gambit's Double Kick is virtually identical to M. Bison's Scissors Kick), and require similar button combinations.
While most stages are unique for each character, some can be played with any of the X-Men. Progress is saved via password.Action Science fiction
