I really want to play this game. When it comes out on GOG I'll buy it straight away. I won't play the remake until I've played the original. Please please please bring back the OG Silent Hill 2
It was the first game in the Silent Hill series I ever played, grabbing a cheap copy of the PS2 version from my local pawn shop when I was in high school. It remains as one of my favorite survival horror games of all time and one of my favorite comfort games to return to for an afternoon when I don't feel like doing too much. The music, characters, atmosphere, even the sometimes cheesy voice acting, all act as part of the experience. It's the first survival horror game I was able to convince my best friend to play, and we still love revisiting this gem on occasion when we play games together.
One of the best survival horror games out there and now eminently playable on PC thanks to the tireless work of fans, it's incredible and saddening that there is no legal way to access the original PC version digitally, which makes this a perfect get for GOG's catalog and a great companion for Silent Hill 4: The Room. Truthfully, while the remake is amazing, it's not the original game. To this day, discovering how this game tastefully handled dark subject matters in 2001 shaped the way I think about art and helped me approached novels and movies that were formative to me, up to this day. It's not a joke when I say that Silent Hill 2 helped me acquaint myself and enter the right frame of mind to watch David Lynch's work (rest in peace).
Silent Hill 2 is my favorite Horror game of all time. It would be great to have the original classic available on as many systems as possible and I hope this will be the big start.

Just put the game like in the SecuROM 3 CD US release and let the Enhanced Edition patch do the rest. Or better yet, INCLUDE IT! Played this 6 times on PS2 just to get several endings and later 4 times on PC with the Enhanced Edition. Installing through CD is a damn mess. But hopefully, when it's on GOG, it's just gonna be a single-click and done.
Silent Hill has been an immensely important title to me from all the way back when i would look at my the cover art of the ps2 copy my mom had long before i would ever get to play it myself. With the resurgence of the franchise it’s a shame that the original games are abandoned to old hardware with skyrocketing prices. The memories of playing through and hearing the beautifully macabre music and the world class storytelling on full display. I will never forget my first time playing SH2 and i hope to make many more new memories with it on gog. :)

I got a lot of memories including Silent Hill HD Collection. Silent Hill 2 is still among the scariest games I ever played. To me the perfect Silent Hill game. You really couldn't ask for more. Rememberable characters while exploring more of the town. Some of the most iconic monsters especially Pyramid Head. I felt it's the second best SH with soundtrack alone behind SH3. They put a surprising level of depth. You got plenty of reasons to replay the game. It's sad only Silent Hill HD Collection available. Sure there's not a great PC port. Thankfully there's a famous mod that greatly improved that port. I strongly felt GOG could sell the hell out of this game.
I am completely unable to run last year’s remake of this game on my laptop, but I would still love to see what it is about this game that has made it a timeless classic for so many fans. I also want to see why the original release is so beloved in order to compare with Bloober Team’s interpretation and know why people love this version of the game.

Lumines
LuminesLumines is a block-dropping game, that may seem at first to be similar to Columns and Tetris. A 2 x 2 square (an O tetromino) made of four smaller block pieces is dropped into the playing field, which may appear different as the player advances through levels or skins. The small blocks that comprise the larger blocks will be one of two different colors. The objective is to rotate and align the blocks in such a way as to create 2x2 squares of the same color, which may span multiple blocks and, indeed, share blocks. For example, if one should get a 2x3 area of matching blocks, the middle portion will "share" itself with both the left and right halves and create two 2x2 squares. After the "timeline", which is synchronized to the music, sweeps over the matching blocks, they disappear. When too many unmatched blocks pile up to the point where no more blocks may be dropped in the playing field, the game ends. When part of a falling block hits an obstruction, the unobstructed portion of the block will split off and continue to fall. More points are scored by creating the largest number of squares during one "timeline" sweep. Increasing score multipliers are earned by repeatedly clearing squares on consecutive timeline sweeps. Bonuses are also awarded by reducing all remaining tiles to one single color or for removing all non-active tiles from the screen altogether. Occasionally, a block falls with a special square of one of the two colors with a "jewel" in the center. This square, when cleared as part of a matched 2x2 square, will cause all individual blocks of the same color that are horizontally or vertically adjacent to the matched 2x2 square, or to an adjacent square, to be cleared without score. These can be used for both generating large bonuses, since generally several blocks of the other color will be formed once these are removed, as well as to help the player recover if the field becomes too cluttered.

Onimusha 3: Demon Siege
Onimusha 3: Demon SiegeOnimusha 3 is the third game of the Onimusha series. The game retains elements from previous games in the franchise including the use of multiple special weapons in order to fight enemies and absorb their energy to enhance the weaponry. This time the player primarily controls both Samanosuke and Jacques in separate scenarios. The two are able to exchange items in order to solve puzzles. The development from this game started after the release of the PlayStation 2 which allowed the team to work on a 3D engine to design 3D backgrounds. In order to appeal to the Western market, the team set this game in Paris and chose French actor Jean Reno to portray Jacques. Onimusha 3 has been generally well received by publications for video games. Most of the writer's praise focused on the improved controls and the use of a 3D engine that allowed better combat and visuals, respectively. The game also generated good sales with over 1.5 million copies sold as of May 2008.

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams
Onimusha: Dawn of DreamsOnimusha: Dawn of Dreams is the sixth installment of Capcom's Onimusha overall series, while being the fourth game in the canonical main series. While game retains the action elements from previous Onimusha, it offers a more varied amount of weapons as well as the option of going back to previous stage to unlock new content. The game also introduces a 3D camera as well as the ability to continuously fight alongside AI controlled characters who move depending on the player's orders. Dawn of Dreams was announced by Capcom due to high fan demand and several Capcom members realizing they could expand the action elements from Onimusha after working in Shadow of Rome. The game was designed in order to appeal to skilled gamers rather than the general market which resulted in appealing designs rather than realistic.
