So Blonde

So Blonde (2008)

by WizarBox, Anaconda, Eidos Interactive
Genres:Adventure, Puzzle, Point-and-click
Game modes:Single player
Story:So Blonde is a classic 3rd person point & click adventure where the player takes the role of young and cute Sunny Blonde, who survives a ship catastrophe and awakes at a beautiful beach – only to find out that she has travelled to a time when pirates ruled the Caribbean Sea. She has to use all her charm and wit to find back into her own time. The game is full of humoristic allusions not only to classic adventures, but also to Sunny being a naïve blonde girl thrown into an environment that is too rough for her manicured nails and make up lifestyle. So Blonde is a game that will attract all kinds of players from all ages, female and male, who will not be able to resist Sunny’s irresistible charm.Show more

I would love to buy this game since I never finished it. I would love to buy this game since I never finished it. I would love to buy this game since I never finished it. Minimum characters limits are dumb.

So Blonde holds a special place in my heart—it was one of my very first PC games, and the memories I have of playing it still make me smile. The quirky humor, the puzzles, and the charming characters—it’s like Monkey Island met a beach vacation, and I loved every second of it. But there’s been a problem. Since those early days, I’ve never been able to find a digital copy to buy and download. I searched high and low, and even Gamersgate used to have it years ago, but after their site redesign, it disappeared. Now, it feels like it’s just... gone. I’m desperate to buy a legal, digital copy, and it’s not just So Blonde, it would be amazing if we could get the alternative versions that came to the DS or Wii, and even the Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle spinoff too ideally! It would be incredible to have all of these tucked away in a DRM-free collection, where they could live on for years to come. So Blonde is silly, it’s feel-good, and it’s a game that’s stuck with me all these years. GOG, if anyone can make this happen, it’s you. Please, help us bring this classic back to life and keep its legacy alive. Thank you.

Love this game, the riddles are not all too hard, the humor is spot on. Still got the dvd version. Characters are loveable, the dialogs are written ok, the story is not something extraordinary, but not bad either. What do you want more from an adventure?

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight PrincessThe Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is the last Zelda game for GameCube, it was highly anticipated by many members of the gaming community and was regarded as finally fulfilling the dreams of those who wanted a much more realistic and mature game than the ones before. The art is similar to the naturalistic style of Ocarina of Time, rather than the cel-shaded look of The Wind Waker. The main adventure takes place in several provinces with dungeons and temples. New to this game is the ability for Link to transform into a Wolf when entering the Twilight. As a wolf, Link can use his senses to solve puzzles and get past obstacles, he can also dig holes to find hearts and rupees. Twilight Princess has received universal acclaim from reviewers and journalists, who cited it as the greatest Zelda game of all time.

The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of ZeldaThe Legend of Zelda is the first title in the Zelda series, it has marked the history of video games particularly for it's game mechanics and universe. The player controls Link and must make his way through the forests, graveyards, plains and deserts of the Otherworld to find the secret entrances to the eight dungeons and try to restore the broken Triforce. Among the game's mechanics, it was the first time we saw a continuous world that could be freely explored, power-ups that permanently enhanced the main character's abilities and a battery save feature that allowed players to keep their progress instead of having to start over. The gameplay balanced action sequences with discovery, secrets and exploration.

Silent Hill: Origins
Silent Hill: OriginsSilent Hill: Origins is the fifth installment in the Silent Hill survival horror series, and a prequel to the original game. As in the previous entries, the player move back and forth between nightmare and real versions of the town, gathering items used to solve puzzles and open up new areas. Monsters of various types provide obstacles and, in series tradition, are mostly disturbingly twisted versions of humanity. The main character can fight with his bare fists or use melee weapons. Unlike previous games in the series, melee weapons break after a time. There are also one-shot items that can be thrown and several guns. There is no HUD, but the edge of the screen turns red when the protagonist is near death.
