I have such a soft spot for this game despite all of its flaws. Of all the games in the TLoS trilogy (console versions), this is the best one imo. Yeah, the free flight system in this game is nothing to write home about, but I still have a blast with this game whenever I replay it. Is it nostalgia? Definitely, but I still think this is an interesting game nonetheless.
This was one of my favorite games growing up. I genuinely loved the sheer scale of the game. It was arguably more epic than anything I had yet seen as a child, and it's one of the best video games I ever owned on my old PS2.
Not to mention the all-star voice cast this game had: Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman, and Mark Hamill, to name a few. I wouldn't have known these names back when I played the game, but I still remember enjoying every second of the dialogue.
The music was superb, too, for a PS2 game. Just look up "Valley of Avalar" or "Floating Islands" or any of the rest of the soundtrack to see what I mean.
I'd love to see the whole trilogy on GOG so more people can experience both this and the other two games in the trilogy.

Onimusha 3 has been generally well received by publications for video games. Most of the writer's praise focused on the improved controls and the use of a 3D engine that allowed better combat and visuals, respectively.
