Memories of Typing of the Dead 2 (2007)
TOTD 2, based on House of the Dead III, took the original idea into a darker, more intense direction. It had more serious graphics, shotgun gameplay, and longer word chains. The enemies were tougher, the pacing more intense, and the environments gloomier. The absurdity was still there, but it was wrapped in a sleeker, slightly more mature aesthetic.
I remember playing this in computer labs and LAN cafés, challenging friends to see who could survive the furthest while typing things like “corporate sabotage” or “arcane rituals” at full speed. It felt like an evolution of the first game—faster, deeper, but still fun and strange.
