an amazing point and click adventure game that I played constantly when i was a kid on the ps1. i always wanted to play the pc version because it has more content and better video and sound quality but it's extremely hard to get running on modern systems.
One of my most favorite games of all time. This GEM is an FMV that features the original cast, and captures the essense of the X Files universe. I loved this game back when I had it many years ago. I'd love to get it again! Edit: RE: to WatsForSupper - all you need is a somewhat newer version of QuickTime player that will run on modern systems, and the game plays flawlessly!

I still have the 7 (?) CDs if you need them to upload the game :) As a kid who should probably not have watched so much X-Files (thanks for the nightmares Tooms), this one will always stay with me. One of the best of the FMV era
Part of the X-Files phenomenon, this was what introduced me to the show as a kid (weird, I know), and I've been a fan ever since. Sure, Mulder and Scully are barely in it as it's a companion piece, but it was a fun FMV game in its own right that's surprisingly complex with its inventory and the like- so fun, in fact, I had to install my old discs awhile back to do a Youtube playthrough.
I never owned this game but a friend down the road from me did, and he'd come over everyday and we'd play it and work through the puzzles and it was really good fun. Made us feel like we were in the X-Files at the time.

One of my all time fav games. I bought a playstation just to play this game. I never bought or played any other playstation game ever. I have a sealed copy of the PC version of this game. I even have the prima guide that comes with it. This is a very fun game, especially if you like the show.
This is in my top 5 favorite games of all-time, based on my favorite TV show of all-time. What a perfect way to encapsulate the show than to literally put you into an episode. FMV games were all the rage in the 90s and this one oozes the perfect atmosphere of the time, the show, the setting, and the world in that moment. I would absolutely love an easier way to play it than fiddling around with the discs on a PC or the inferior PS1 version.

An absolute joy for the fans of the series. This game has so much content and depth that really makes you immerse into the X-Files universe completely. I remember renting the game from a local PC game rent store, then making copies of it and creating my own boxed version... Later on I was lucky to find one original copy in US Ebay, which I've bought and hold it very dearly in my home office. FMV masterpiece!

It's a really fun game with a good story, supported by the cast of the show. My mom was a huge X files fan and I remember her playing this, she really liked it and I've also played it and loved it
Those games also need your vote!

L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition
L.A. Noire: The Complete EditionL.A. Noire is set in Los Angeles in 1947 and challenges the player, controlling a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer, to solve a range of cases across five divisions. Players must investigate crime scenes for clues, follow up leads, and interrogate suspects, and the player's success at these activities will impact how much of each case's story is revealed. The game draws heavily from both the plot and aesthetic elements of film noir, stylistic films made popular in the 1940s and 1950s that share similar visual styles and themes, including crime and moral ambiguity. The game uses a distinctive colour palette, but in homage to film noir it includes the option to play the game in black and white. Various plot elements reference the major themes of detective and mobster stories such as Key Largo, Chinatown, The Untouchables, The Black Dahlia, and L.A. Confidential. L.A. Noire is notable for using Depth Analysis's newly developed technology MotionScan, whereby the actors portraying the game's characters were recorded by 32 surrounding cameras to capture facial expressions from every angle. The technology is central to the game's interrogation mechanic, as players must use the suspects' reactions to questioning to judge whether or not they are lying. L.A. Noire was the first video game to be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival. Upon release, the game received wide acclaim for its advances in storytelling and facial animation technology. As of February 2012, both PC and console versions had shipped nearly 5 million copies combined. In addition to the original full game, L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition for PC will include a multi-use code to access all the previously released downloadable content from the console versions, including the “Nicholson Electroplating” Arson case, the “Reefer Madness” Vice case, “The Consul’s Car” Traffic case, “The Naked City” Vice case and “A Slip of the Tongue” Traffic case.

L.A. Noire
L.A. NoireL.A. Noire is a neo-noir detective action-adventure video game developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games. It was initially released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms on 17 May 2011; a Microsoft Windows port was later released on 8 November 2011. L.A. The game draws heavily from both the plot and aesthetic elements of film noir—stylistic films made popular in the 1940s and 1950s that share similar visual styles and themes, including crime and moral ambiguity—along with drawing inspiration from real-life crimes for its in-game cases, based upon what was reported by the Los Angeles media in 1947. The game uses a distinctive colour palette, but in homage to film noir it includes the option to play the game in black and white. Various plot elements reference the major themes of detective and mobster stories such as The Naked City, Chinatown, The Untouchables, The Black Dahlia, and L.A. Confidential.
