So far from the first minute watching, This is an excellent video and I really appreciate it that you posted it.

Edit: "YongYea" and "Kazuliski" also have some very good quality recent videos on the same subject that I really appreciated. I only found them a few days ago and I'm loving the commentary because it's short and simple and honest.

I love Mike Pondsmith because he is a man of such strong integrity and that he holds steady and makes and defends a game he is passionate about. He isn't falling for any SJW fear. I would love to shake his hand, and I would love for him to have more interviews about the game, and about his life story, and an interview between him and Keanu Reeves. If you watch videos with him in it, You can just tell Mike Pondsmith is such a great man. You can tell his handshakes would be good solid honest handshakes.

Yeah i watched the video and it makes me think that its not just an SJW thing and more about competition that they know that they can't compete, which is why they are making exclusivity deals for games, becauase they know if everyone had a fair chance they would likely lose.

If this all turns out to be true, isn't this worthy of a lawsuit? just curious.

Either YongYea or NeonArcade put up a video saying Kazuliski is always going after MadQueen and another Cyberpunk community channel, in a video Kazuliski is just there talking shit about other youtubers that tried to invite him to the weekly podcast.

He does put out good Cyberpunk content, but I can't watch someone who just diss' another channels for no reason.

I've seen videos by random youtubers attacking Kazuliski in the past and accusing him of saying mean things, but after watching Kazuliski a lot, I never saw him make a video where he did what they accused him of. I think he has a lot of haters that want to take him down for some reason. I never saw yongyea or neonarcade make a video about him either, So I don't really know what's going on, But I really like most of Kazuliski's content so far.

Very good video. Now I see how easy it is to spread your agenda. All you have to do is be rich and have connections to same thinking people. Epic store vs gog is a no brainer.

p.s. Werent epic store bashing steam as well? Im not a nerd who reads lots of media news but my ears might have heard/mis-heard something about steam and epic in the same sentence.

It's kinda logic that Epic attacks CDPR. Every time they can do something wrong, they do it. Just like EA.
Although, I don't consider GOG to be a real competitor for the EGS.
GOG's library is mostly focused on old or indie games. Only a small fraction of Triple A games reach the platform, and most of the time, they get if after Steam.

Maybe it's only a reputation thing. CDPR's consumer friendly politics, the DRM Free games on GOG and the intelligent communication do a lot for their rep.

Cyberpunk 2077 will probably be the best game next year, played by millions of gamers. And all those gamers won't see exclusivity, micro-transactions or P2W. They might then realize that they're beeing fucked by EA/Bethesda/Epic and stop buying their products.

EA has already lost 1/3 of its stock value in less than a year.

That was a great video, but all it really proved to me is that CD Projekt is a MegaCorp.
So I really don't see why everyone is jumping to it's defense.

And sure, CDPR has a good consumer relationship now.
But what will they have in 10 years, or 20 years?
People used to worship Bethesda and Bioware. Look at them today.

CD Project owns 2 departments gog and CDPR. I would call that a MegaCorp. Everything else in the video is about the financial connections of it competitor Epic. I guess there is no official definition of "MegaCorp", but i personally would not agree with CDP being a MegaCorp.

You can not say much about how the world will be in 10 or 20 years. For the assessment of a situation, only the present and events of the past can be used, everything else is quite meaningless. Why do you not judge them by their previous actions rather than condemning them for theoretical possible actions in the future?

Because Corporations are not your friends.
They want your unquestionable loyalty.

Again, the ones I mentioned before. They are not talked about in really positive ways anymore.
Not to mention other companies. And seeing how everyone is willing to take a bullet for CDP is.. disturbing I guess?

But so did EA over two decades ago.

I don't want them to be my friends. I want them to be a reliable partner. Corporations are focused at (short or long term) profit, that's simply their purpose. As a customer, I reward you for positive behavior and punish you for negative. To punish them irrespective of their behavior makes no sense at all, then there is no reason for them to behave according to the wishes of their customers. CDP has so far been very customer-oriented and fair, so why should not I reward them for it?

This argument is incomprehensible to me. After this mode of argumentation you can trust nothing or nobody and there is no hope for the future. Because in every case one can find a negative example where the expectations or the trust were disappointed. If one projects only the negative examples into the general, the only logical consequence is the immediate suicide(what is the point of existance if everything is bad and without hope at all?). I am unwilling to follow this argument. It is understandable, if, after a bad experience, one reluctantly builds up trust, but is totally biased to reject any trust referring to this negative example.

And yet EA gets rewarded year after year for exploiting it's customers.

All I am saying is, don't be too eager to defend a company.
That's really the tl;dr of it all.

If anything else seems confusing it may be me explaining myself poorly due to the heatwave that messes up my head.

This is true to a degree, but it doesn't mean they are ALL evil. Some realize the benefit of actually treating their customers well, like CDPR has been doing.

But yeah, blind loyalty is always dangerous. As is blind suspicion, just as dangerous. Find the balance.
