Someone at RPG Codex pointed out that having a game wishlisted by lots of people helps with Steam's discovery algorithms (not sure about GOG) - and also that inXile may have been considering a price drop anyway, and simply decided to get some good publicity out of it. Either way, I'm a bit uncomfortable with wishlisting a title I have no intention of buying.
No interest, no wishlist... people already interested in game are already wishlisted it. Unless they want publicity, but isn't something like this already happened to another title without success?
TBH, I believe game will be a flop, and I believe they are aware of that as well.
