Seems to work the same as the Xbox 1 version. Price is $4.99 a month, no option to get a year at a discount that I can see.

I might actually try a month once Battlefront is added to the collection.

Seems to be available only for specific regions.

Countries are limited at the moment, but this will expand to include generally every country possible in the future. It is done so in order to keep the service more stable and react faster to any potential problems.

You can try Battlefront now, or at least you can on the Xbox One, yet I cannot confirm on PC right now as I cannot see anything from my Swedish location. The sub gives you 10 hours trials of certain games, and Battlefront should be one of them. But I'd say, wait for someone else to confirm.
They hate my country, They hate me.... They are racist!
This is what you currently get:

All Dead Space games, all Dragon Age games, Fifa 15, Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, PvsZ Garden Warfare, Sim City, Sims 3, This War of Mine, a Need for Speed game, and I might be missing some other games.

Haven't seen any mention of it having a trial on PC yet. I forgot there is a new Mirror's Edge game coming out soonish, so I might get a month to try then when it gets a trial.

Edit: And here is a commercial for it staring Bill Nye: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syPqNTmupvY

Interesting. That could be the future. Not that I overly like it but one has to be realistic. After an initial period where many people might be uncomfortable with only renting games, it might actually take off.

$5 per month for 20 years is like =$1200
Assuming that the average GOG game price in a sale is about $5 this would be equivalent to 240 games.

Price seems roughly okay. However with GOG I would actually still have the games after the 20 years (if I would still play them is another thing).

Here's.what you get, nothing. You merely rent access to some games, and for that you pay a lot of of money over time and have to have their dodgy advertising capturing client software. All in all.a.great deal, not :o)

Seems like it's better if you consider it as a way to demo the games in question, or if you do reviews and you only need access to games for a limited time; Or you're one of those poor saps that always turns in games for the newest games. $5 a month gives you a year's access at $60, and quite a few people never touch a game again after they get done. As such the price isn't that bad, i recall renting games for $5 for 2 days at the video stores (back when there were video stores), just as long as you remember once your access is over that you simply don't have the games for longer term...

As for me... I'm in two minds about this. This sounds interesting and promising... now to see if they will fuck it up :P

I already own all the games on Origin that Im interested in, but that sounds like a good deal.
Still, Id rather "own" my games than "rent" them. ^^
I wonder if "The Vault" will lead to more EA classics on Origin.

I suppose, but I am the opposite, a collector, so this kind of thing is anathema to me.

But if they can release on their own platform, keeping control etc. Then why would they release here?
