This is a new forum game only for those who have signed up. If you have not signed up, please do not post here.
(anyone who isn't playing, who wants to offer suggestions or talk to me about the game may send me a PM)
Update: Game concluded....thanks to all for playing
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The premise
The game within is like a combination of a CYOA game and the online game called russian roulette.
1. Players are stuck in some sort of situation and are given a set number of tokens(in this game each player starts with 2 tokens), which they then use during their turns on various set pieces(usually furniture and rooms and etc, created along with a list of outcomes for each set piece & optionally a map of all set pieces in the game beforehand by the one running the game).
2. A player may either play until they run out of tokens(at which point they are "frozen" until their next turn, when they get 1 token so they may try again) or they may pass their turn to the next player in line.......but they may ONLY pass their turn after using at least one token(an exception is listed below in rule 1).
(edit: due to the setup of this game & the limited number of tokens & game "set pieces" & the rule that a player must spend at least one token per turn.....in effect the option to pass one's turn can only really be used in "round 1"...i.e. the first player rotation)
Play continues from player to player, in the order listed in the player list, until everyone is either saved(via getting a "Good End" by picking the set pieces which hide a "saving item") or eliminated from the game(via getting a "Bad End" by picking the wrong set pieces).
3. Once a player has "used" a set piece by spending a token on it, that set piece is "removed from the game".
4. A map of every set piece available(sans the ones already "used" by players) is attached to this post.
Also, a list of "used" set pieces is posted below in this very OP post. It includes all set pieces that are no longer available for players to spend tokens on. Players can and should compare this list to the map to see which set pieces they can still spend tokens on.
++++
Rules
1a. All players must try to start playing within 24 hours of their turn coming up unless IRL comes up.
(I will ping or PM players when it's their turn as well as list such here)
If such comes up a player may ask if they may pass their turn(without using tokens) to the next player in line by PMing the game OP(in this case that would be me)
1b. Players are advised to read this OP post thoroughly and carefully.
1c. When spending a token....players may change the "set piece" they've chosen if they change their mind, but ONLY if they do so before I see/read the post. Once I read it it is "locked in" and the choice made becomes unchangeable.
2. Unlike standard games like Mafia, players can talk about this game with others if they so choose.
3. An edit is fine too.
(i.e. one can edit their posts if they so choose)
4a. Roleplaying is optional but encouraged. This means that players can RP in the theme of the setting and/or chat with fellow players while they wait for their turn(stuff like reacting to the situation they're all in, reacting to players escaping or being eliminated, etc), if players choose to do so.
4b. Players can also ask questions of and offer suggestions(for possible future games) to the OP as well, or chat on other minor topics while they wait for their turn.
(more rules might be added as I think of ones to add)
Notes and Info
The game isn't meant to always be a contest, but this one is.
(being the "first" game of it's kind on the site, I felt i'd commemorate it in such a manner)
As such, one winner(randomly drawn from the survivors) will receive a prize at the end of the game.

Story
You have been in this institute of healing for years now...along with the other patients. Usually it's same old same old, but one day you all wake up and something is amiss: The staff are all missing, and writing has appeared on a nearby wall....darkish red as if written in blood.
Essentially it says the place you are in is cursed, and there is no escape....unless....unless you're lucky enough to find a way out, that is. More likely than not, you'll end up with your face chewed off or stuck in a never ending void of torment, if books and other media are anything to go by.
So now go...go and find a way out...if you can. Good luck. :)]
Update: Game is now running...good luck to all players
