Wishbone: I play guitar on a "camp fire" level.
Did this ever happen to you?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YzMqUZmyaw Not about guitar, but to this day I kick myself to my head for turning down when my mother wanted to send me to piano lessons (my big sister and brother already went there (and my sister also took violin lessons too), and we had a piano at home). Stupid kids, they don't know what is good for them.
It is interesting to think that all those years in my childhood we indeed had a piano and I played with it (like a toy), but still I didn't really learn anything during all those years. Just goes to show that just giving a kid an instrument will not teach them anything, no matter how much they dabble with it. Someone really needs to teach them how to use it.
Oh, now I remember, we also had a mandolin! I guess my father or someone brought it from some vacation to southern Europe. I played a lot with it as well, again not learning at all to actually play it. Oh well, I am a failed master with many instruments.
