catpower1980: Rather than putting a one-line comment in the Sorcerer King news thread where I shout my usual complaint about GOG releases choices (lack of diversity, blablabla....), I thought it would be more insightful to get some real feedback from fellow GOG'ers by telling from the list below which games you actually bought in the lastest releases (I excluded the various DLC's). Of course, a few forumers won't represent all the GOG buyers but I'm really curious to get an overview of the offer/demand ratio.
Strategy:
- Last Federation
Bought

- Hard West
Kickstarted

- Stronghold Crusader 2
Bought

- Galactic Civilzations 2
Bought twice

- Galactic Civilizations 3
Bought Twice

- Impossible Creatures
Bought

- Valhalla Hills
It sells pre-order DLC before the base game is even out yet. So wait all of them to release before deciding

- Fallen Enchantress
Bought thrice

- Sins Of A Solar Empire
Bought thrice

- Warrior Kings
Not yet

- Warrior Kings: Battles
Not yet

- Chaos Reborn
Waiting for GoG kickstarter key for weeks......

- For The Glory
Don't see battles, only statistic autoresolve battles

- Sengoku
Don't see battles, only statistic autoresolve battles

- Darkest Hour
Don't see battles, only statistic autoresolve battles

- Sorcerer King
Waiting for paypal to acknowledge my top up to be able to buy

Management:
- Tropico 5
Bought

RPG:
- Runestone Keeper
Bought

- Blood & Gold : Carribean
The original game Caribean sucks that the devs have to remove it from steam and rework it to Blood & Gold Caribean.
May pick it up in a sales to see if it has become good.

- Underrail
Miss it, will buy in future

Racing:
- Trickstyle
Not my kind of game

Adventure:
- Moment of Silence
- Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star
- Overcloked: History Of Violence
Not my kind of game

Shooter:
- Turok
- Nuclear Throne
Rarely play shooter

Puzzle:
- Card City Nights (primarly classified as adventure but as you have to us your brain a lot)
Not my kind of game

I know this was just a typo, but this totally sounds like it could be a game. XD

haha i have just learnt new word in dictionary. not typo but poor english. i really thought that early is derivated from earl which means almost the same :)

thank you for notice!
I've only bought Chaos Reborn and Moment of Silence.

I think Chaos Reborn is pretty awesome actually and it is a great hybrid of chess/ cards/ with RPG elements and strategy. Almost one of my fave games from last year.

Haven't tried Moment of Silence yet.

Will get Hard West, Underrail and Turok eventually too, the rest don't interest me much.

None of those, I either don't really know or just not miss them.

I'm probably missing out on something, but my backlog is such that it serves me best to not get excited over anything new if I can easily avoid it :)
From the list: Hard West, Fallen Enchantress, Moment of Silence and Overclocked. Already own Underrail elsewhere or I'd of bought it here. Not particularly interested in any of the other releases.
I bought Stronghold Crusader 2 ... and then I tossed my computer out my apartment window.

Instabought:
- Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star w/ DLC (15% launch discount) -- great game, I want moar
- Runestone Keeper (60% launch discount, but I actually wanted the game) -- good game, but I've had my fill of quirky ironic dungeon crawlers

I bought some other stuff on this list at slightly above the card processing fee but I'm so not excited about them I don't even remember. My single biggest game purchase was the CaravelNet (DROD) sub renewal at $11.99. To put it in context: my single biggest entertainment purchase this season was $500 spent on collectible violets.
Top of my wishlist:

Moment of Silence
Overcloked: History Of Violence

Petrell: Generally, anything interesting but priced over 20€ goes to wishlist and very few games over 10€ are insta buys for me.
This. I feel I have quite a wide taste for different genres, so quite often my decision to buy something has more to do with pricing than what genre etc. it is, albeit the latter affects too though (ie. I have skipped many cheap games because I feel confident I won't like nor never play the game).

I generally buy cheap games "blindly", ie. I might know next to nothing about the game, and just a couple of positive reviews or comments might convince me to buy it. There are just so many games out there to be bought that it would take ages to make a deeper analysis for each game before I buy it.

For me strategy games (especially RTS) on GOG is good news, it is one of my preferred genres, along with CRPGs. Still, I wish also for more FPS games maybe.

Here are games I seem to have bought since the beginning of December (the newest purchases on the top):

Darkest Hour: A Hearts of Iron Game
Sengoku
For The Glory: A Europa Universalis Game
Duke Nukem 1+2 (not sure if I will play these, I bought them "just in case" as they will be removed from GOG)
Bio Menace
Overclocked: A History of Violence
Quest for Infamy
This War of Mine: Soundtrack Edition
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
Hogs of War
Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition
MX vs. ATV Unleashed
Supreme Ruler 2020 Gold Edition
Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power
Samorost2
Trine 2: Soundtracks & Artbooks
Escape Goat 2
Toren
Kyn
FireStarter
Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri
Revenant
Lumino City
Indiana Jones® and the Emperor's Tomb™
Outlaws + A Handful of Missions
Afterlife
Star Wars™: Rebel Assault 1 + 2
Venom. Codename: Outbreak
Starship Titanic
Sengoku
That is all.
-Galactic Civilizations II
-Runestone Keeper
-Underrail

I got the Starpoint Gemini 2 DLC with a raffle code from the Twitch channel and I would buy more if I had the money; I've got wishlisted most of Stradock catalogue and a few more (Hard West, etc).
I only buy on GOG.
Quake 1,2,3
Morrowind
I didnt buy anything on steam for 5,6 years and deleted account.
So proud of myself, would like to thank my parents and my whole family for supporting and believing in me...snip
