Perhaps the blessing will help me with struggle against my own downfall to darkness. I can feel the pain as what I am is changing to what I had always fought against. It becomes less bearable with time, as poison reaches deeper recesses of my being with every beat. The change is already beginning to surface and I can catch the first glimpses of it on my body. I know I only have so much time before others no longer regard me as one of them and I lose myself entirely, becoming what's howling in the wind.
