nightcraw1er.488: Nope, I meant sad and disappointed.
Why not? Ps3 and before don't have any drm on them you just put the disc/cart in and play. Quite a lot of the old games are drm free, also quite a few need nocd or official patches to get round that though. I have a shed load of old games several hundred and more all ages, and a fair few work out the box like baldurs gate for instance, Diablo (I actually have that on a usb!
Playstation is not an open system, by default you cannot play your application and disc are copy protected so that's DRM for me. Why not? Also, DRM aside, I really like digital delivery... I can buy any time and play as soon as the download is over, I don't need space (just a small hard disk to store a backup with hundred of games) and I don't have to worry about broke the disk.
I only have few not digital games and I already made a backup digital copy (with a no dvd crack of course).
Also for the PS3 I also need to worry about the PS3 itself... I already don't like when a game is windows-only (expecially for new games... with old games I can use Wine)... but at least a with a windows game I can play anytime with any new computer.
Finally I always play with mouse/trackpad & keyboard... I really don't like to play with a gamepad. If I really have to play without M&K I even prefer touch controls to a gamepad.
No thanks... I will just buy drm-free game on humble bundle, from the developer site, steam, origin and even uplay when I find one... I started with gog because it was the only one 100% drm-free with complete games and client free.
My secondary choices are, of course, humble bundle or the developer site, because they are also client free and drm-free (just not 100% of the times).
And if I have to I will install clients just to download games, but I will always pay attention to be able to play without the client.
