edgar1: Also, somehow this Windows 7, thats supposed to use LESS resources from hardware is eating up MORE of them(almost all of my RAM anyway).
ET3D: The question is, how does it perform? Windows 7 caches a lot of data in RAM to (hopefully) speed things up, so would naturally use more RAM, but it frees that when it's needed for other things. In my experience on a PC with 512MB or 1GB of RAM Windows 7 works better, especially when coupled with ReadyBoost, a technology which isn't available in XP.
Well, I have 64-bit version of Win7 Ultimate and it eats up 3,5 GB RAM, out of 4 installed. Also, it loads up my Core 2 Duo 1.86 GHz to about 50%. (without steam or skype , just 7 Yes, you can laugh at my old processor, but its only one I have. It came with my desktop.). I havent noticed any speed up, compared to XP. If it accesses something faster through caching(steam game?), I havent seen it.
