None. I don't browse steam. While I occasionally will buy a game from steam, I only buy games I found about through non steam sources, only games that are on Steam only. This means I don't need to browse the store looking for games to buy, I just need to type in the name of the game, so don't need to ignore games to train the store.

Vikk50: Anyhow, Steam used to be more selective when publishing games on their client. That changed over the years. So much so I felt like diving through trash to find anything interesting, including indie games (I don't like most of them).
I think getting rid of the Greenlight thing and letting games freely in the catalogue was a good thing.

Sure, there's some awful garbage there, but on the other hand, there's always some new games to discover when I dig long and deep enough into Steam catalogue.

Lots of hidden gems to be found there.
I have currently 1700 games on my Steam wishlist, so I really like the variety of selection that I have there.

I wish I could have the same choices on GOG, but here it's rather opposite.
As adventure games are my preferred genre, sometimes I have browsed through GOG catalogue, and there was nothing of interest for me.
(Obviously I play games from any genre, but I actively hunt only adventure games.)
I have been ignoring Steam itself, and I have been knowingly doing so already back when it was nothing more than just a mandatory online only patching tool for Counter Strike...
131064. Just saying.
All except for nearly 1100 of them. Most of them were bundles, not many of them was at full price. Account is over 17 years old.
None, vtubers such as SSniper/ALinty/PokeMane uhhhhh wait sec..... Das Tactics, Partyelite,Sseth and of course tee ol' lads over at pcgamer have taken control of my wishlist.
It is from there (It is me ;)) I rule the world
Hey Hey People!
165711 items ignored and going strong :)
We use Steam only for the game reviews, which can be comprehensive, as well as quite insighful. As for purchases: "Fuhgeddaboudit!" ~ Tony S
I probably exaggerated with my earlier reply.

But I guess it depends on how you look at it.

I don't go looking for games at Steam. Though I did for a while check out many of the free ones regularly, and add them to my Steam library if appealing enough. I take the avoidance approach. In other words, I don't usually want to know about games available at Steam if they aren't available at GOG, and even at GOG I avoid games beyond a certain price, often not even putting them on my Wishlist until the price drops enough to warrant attention.

On rare occasions I will check out reviews at Steam, if I need to. I did that for instance, for Operation: Pinkeye, which I came across at ZOOM Platform.

I never compare Steam prices with GOG prices. I buy based on a fair or attractive price at GOG. What they cost elsewhere never or rarely factors for me ... Humble Store possibly the rare exception a few times, when DRM-Free. And that would only happen if I saw that in passing. I don't go to Humble to see if they are cheaper. In fact, I rarely go to Humble at all now.

My interest in games at Steam, is limited to free ones and some rare exceptions like the Valve Collection, and some other ones I have a prior interest in series wise from many years back (Pre-Steam). But with that rare lot they have to be dirt cheap or I will live without.

So in a nutshell, I don't have much reason to use Steam's ignore option, as I do a pretty good job at just ignoring or avoiding anyway.
Interesting approach :)
None.
When I first read the topic, I thought you meant games paid for but left unplayed. I have quite a lot of those because I'd buy a bundle just for one game and then leave the rest. Nothing at the other place is ignored, as far as I know.

There aren't many games I use the other place for. DRM-free is preferable. If Zoom or GOG had them, I'd never go back to the other.

For those who might be interested, Operation: Pinkeye is going the cheapest I have seen it at a couple of stores right now with a good discount.

$5 USD at Itch.io (50%)
$5.22 AUD at Steam. (64%) .... cheapest, but you likely won't get all the different OS file types, and it won't be an installer file.

It is still $7 USD at Zoom Platform, who have a good discount currently on their main two Duke Nukem 3D games, in slightly different versions to previous by the looks of it. $4.49 USD each.
This thread shouldn't become a Zoom Platform advertisement thread. Next of those posts will be reported here:
