Trying out Owlboy and its crashing all the time, do I need an i7 cpu to play it? This computer was able to play Skyrim without problems. I'm wondering if they just hobbled together these "DRM-free" versions because I'm about ready to just grab the cracked versions and avoid these indie bundles from now on.
This is great bundle. I am picking this up in a few.

Wishbone: It works like GOG connect. You register your Steam account with them, and they check what games you already have. The keys you get from Humble are supposed to be for your personal use only, unless you buy the whole bundle as a gift. Of course, there is still a gift option for each individual key (in some bundles), so I'm not exactly sure what that is about, but the upshot is that I can gift the game to someone else, but can't claim it for myself.

Grargar: When you say that you can't claim it, do you mean that the "Redeem on Steam" button is greyed out like in the attached image? In that case, have you actually tried clicking it or did you assume that it's unclickable?
I did indeed assume it was unclickable. I blame my developer background, because I would never in a million years grey out a button unless it was unclickable. It never even occurred to me that anyone would deliberately break that long standing convention.

gay4picard: I am in the same position as Wishbone (own Goat Sim, but had none of the DLC), if you just click on the greyed out button, it gives you a popup warning that after clicking again you can't turn the key into a gift link, then it reveals the Steam Key that when added to your steam account gives you the DLC. This, of course, does not result in a gift key for the base game, so be warned if you want that for some reason, but there is no need to wait for the ticket from HB to come back to get the DLC.
Yup, I did, and it worked. Thank you both for your input.

Those who are having trouble with DRM-free game builds, I would suggest to contact devs as process is faster in that way.
Ask devs to update builds.
I'm only interested in Windward. So, I got just the lower tier.
Ziggurat is also a very nice game, but I already own it on GOG.

Kentucky Route Zero looks interesting, but it's still unfinished. Maybe I'll upgrade to a higher tier next week. It depends on what other games will be added.
Having the same issues with the DRM free build for Goat Simulator :( downloaded twice to be sure.....
I'm also curious about what will be added in the second week, because as it stands, I don't fin the BTA worth it, and I'd rather get Owlboy on GOG.
Nice, solid bundle! Or it would be, if all the DRM-free builds actually worked. Hopefully they'll patch that sooner rather than later.
One of the better bundles of late from HB to be sure. I had wondered if they had abandoned these, given that HIB 17 was a whole year ago. I do chuck in the bare minimum on occasion for the other bundles, given that many of the games are Steam only, but I do like to support the mainline bundles with a little more dosh, even if the exclusivity of the DRM-free and Linux version launches isn't what it used to be (it used to be that almost all of the games were Steam-only beforehand - with the exception of Beholder and Goat Simulator, all of these are on GOG).

When you see quality bundles like this, it makes me incredibly sad to see how the Humble brand has otherwise been so badly diluted as a dumping ground for cheap Steam keys.

Seeing Owlboy here in particular warms the cockles of my heart though. I'd been hankering after that one for a while.
got the bundle but yeah goat sim does not work lol I contacted the dev and let's hope they respond with why the build has been broken and if they will fix it.
I got an answer from Humble support:

Hi,

We have notified the developers of Goat Simulator about the issues with the DRM-Free version of Goat Simulator and have requested a new download file for the game. They are aware of the problem and investigating. If we get a new build we will let you know. Let us know if you need anything else.

Grargar:
Hmmm. Whenever I buy Steam games, I always test them outside of Steam to see if I can make a DRM-free ZIP backup. Goat Simulator was actually one of those few major "Steam-integrated" titles that does work entirely DRM-free outside of Steam (usually the supposedly "DRM-free" games are legacy titles that can't have DRM attached to them for lack of source code or shovelware titles that don't make active use of Steamworks - usually Unity Engine games).

I've not tested the Humble build yet, but it's weird that the DRM-free version there should be defective.

That sounds good!

That sounds bad! If? I was hoping it was more a question of "when"...

I haven't really bought anything on Humble ever since they made 2-step authentication mandatory. Since then, the simple process of logging into your account has become cumbersome to the point of being a kafkaesque nightmare.

Login, fill out a captcha. "Click on all the pictures with cars in them" Not a single car to be found in any of them, just traffic signs. Try again."Click on all the pictures with storefronts in them" Click on all the storefronts. The pictures disappear and more pictures of storefronts keep popping up. Try again "Click on all the pictures with traffic signs in them" Excellent! Traffic signs are captcha's forte. But there's not a single one of them in any of the pictures. There are signs, but they sure as hell are not traffic signs. Click on them anyway. You're presented with a new captcha. One pig picture made up of several small pictures. "Click on all the pictures with traffic signs in them" Click on the big traffic sign spread out over several pictures. Congratulations, you are now logged in! Say goodbye to the login captcha of doom...

...and say hello to the 2-step authentication mail of abject despair! Check your mail folder to find out you didn't get a verification mail. Hit resend. Hope that you'll get that verification mail eventually... hopefully. Refresh your mail folder. Over and over and over. Wonder why you're locked out of your library. Wonder why Humble has tighter security measures than your bank. Wonder why the earth is flat. Wonder why you ever gave money to these clowns.

Get access to your games. Hallelujah!

Download your latest acquisition. DRM-free build is broken. Maybe they'll fix it. Someday.

Whenever I have a problem with captcha I use google chrome.
The Windows version of Goat Simulator has just received an update. Will test it and let you know if/how it works.
