Though whoever sent the warning: Git Gud (frankly, this blue probably made the biggest fuck-up of 2016, just hope none will top him and it was just a beginner's mistake).

Avatar changes are once again broken. So you see the new avatar in quotes, but not next to the posts. Sometimes they update after a few days, sometimes not.

You could also just hover over his avatar, and you'll see the new one. I'd blame the caching server, but not sure if that's what's at fault or not.

Ah, neat. That does introduce a new mystery, as the new avatar is a black tree on a white background, but the quoted avatar is a white tree on a black one.

I'm super happy to hear that. I don't know how I missed this thread before, sorry I wasn't here to cheer for you. If GOG really kicked you out becasue of scammers and trolls reporting you I'd pack up and leave too. I can put up with an insane amount of bullshit from GOG, lacking proper DRM-free alternatives, but there are some limits to my patience.

But I was gonna bring sandwhiches for the ensuing melee.

Ahh, that mystery is easily solved. I have two versions of the logo. I decided to switch it to the white background/black tree one :)

So basically this warning was something that somebody who wasn't very well informed said was a thing. Then a lot of even less well informed people fought about it. Some people even found hope in it. Then someone who knew what they were talking about said it doesn't exist at all and we don't have anything to worry about.

So in other words; there's no difference between this warning and God.

As someone who rarely writes, but lurks in the forums every day, I happened to stumble upon tinyE and his posts in almost every thread.
After a while, I thought to myself, he must be some kind of (un)official GOG-Forums mascot, here to keep us all entertained in one form or another, that's surely the most reasonable explanation.

Therefore, imagine my indignation after reading about your warning! Inconceivable!
The signature and stench of a crybully is all over this one...
