is there a script to rip a list of my steam games so i can look them up on gog?
long story short, steam is ran by a bunch of crazy nut jobs and i'm sure they run experiments on players.

log into your Steam account, go to:

https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/

Copy-pasta to a spreadsheet like Excell and sort alphabetcally if you want.

Your loss.

Pot, meet kettle.

... and then you come to GOG? o.O ? Weird choice! Were the Steam nutjobs not crazy enough for you?

If by 'experiments' you mean data collection, yes, they do. As does Microsoft, Google and every other major company with the resources to do so. Including GOG, as far as they are able to.

No, Gabe physically kidnaps g a m e r s and conducts tests on them, a la MK Ultra
high rated
Poor OP, no Steam, no GOG...

i just honestly think gog is better and even tho cdpr is on my list of people that deserve a investigation i doubt pond smith will be investigated.

tho i prefer gog's stance over steam and the rest.
GoG is the only one making any real sense right now.
i look at the user agreement ect, you would be a fool not to support gog.

Unfortunately GOG doesn't keep their promise of DRM-free anymore. They have been selling games with DRM-ed content for quite a few years now.

Good thing he did not say anything about DRM, then. He said they had a better user agreement.
I think the best is to try to enjoy every opportunity. I'd rather GOG, I prefer to buy games here but steam has also its advantages. If you are fed up with Steam, stop using for a while, and then with a cool head, make a decision.

Sadness and fear are afraid of you, and these are the real people, maybe a couple of xD
Go Tiger! ^°
Eye of the tiger, and all that but perhaps no?

If you can disable, rather than delete, perhaps yes.
I don't care which platform to use, but I wish all of these storefronts had a dedicated section to games that're soon to be delisted. Something like a month of more in advance that these games are going to be gone from digital storefront, so you better get them now.

Is that too hard or illegal to implement. All these companies know the games that're going to be pulled well in advance since it's usually a matter of legality and it usually takes forever and a half on the backend.

ALL storefronts should have a section like this. GOG made us aware once of the Warcraft being yanked so everyone can buy it. Well guess what, a bunch of games get delisted constantly and nobody even knows. It's a lot worse on Steam, but present pretty much everywhere.

One day, gaming medium will be treated with at least half the respect that movies and literature get... maybe not in my lifetime, but one day.

I do not like the backup feature in STEAM. You can download a whole game to your PC as backup BUT it's in .CSM format which can only be decoded by STEAM. If Gaben kicks the bucket are we going to be stuck with useless .CSMs?

I hope not, STEAM's version of Warhammer 40k: Space Marine is the only version I can get working after using compatibility mode.
