I'm also working on the puzzle even though I don't plan on claiming the game as it doesn't interest me. I do enjoy a good puzzle though (thanks for that!).

I'm getting the same numbers as the above users, and also tried a bunch of different combinations based on the clues. No dice.

I'm assuming the following:
A1 = A1
A10 = A2
A11 = A3
A100 = A4
A101 = A5
etc

And even though there's a Greater-than sign, I'm assuming it goes from left to right, *1-*5 (although i did try various combinations factoring in the Greater-than sign).
Still not claimed.

Damn, I remember the first I played G2 with NoTR, and my first thought was "WTF? They made a Gothic game harder?". One thing that has hampered me I think is that I've never figured out the proper "strategy" to praying to the Shrines of Innos. I really can't find a comprehensive explanation of that.

I think what I've gleaned so far is that you have limits on the bonuses to attributes but no limits to the HP gains. And then there are limits based on your guild (or class, if you prefer). For example, after you become a mage of some sort only mana buffs are received, and if you're a fighter of some sort, only dexterity and strength are received.

What I've never found an answer to is:

1)Are those limits "stackable"? Meaning, if guildless you can train up to 10 times +1 STR and +1DEX and 20 times +1 Mana, then when a mage only 20 times +1 Mana or a fighter only 10 times +1STR and +1DEX, can you therefore get 10 times +1 STR and DEX guildless and then another 10 times +1STR and +1DEX after joining a fighting based guild?

And because NoTR introduced the leveling costs to attributes (1-30 costs 1 LP, 31-60 2LP, etc.) is it better to therefore wait and do all of you're praying after you've reached levels where the +1 attribute gain costs more than 1 LP?
OldFatGuy, thank you for the puzzle and the code for Wasteland 3 - Colorado Edition.

GAME CLAIMED

I see from my orders and settings page that the game has now been claimed.

Here is the code: Tag+ and g2222 were very close, which is why I was sure that tomorrow's hint would have put them over the top. Unfortunately for them, they were beat to the punch before tomorrow's hint. (Tomorrow's hint was gong to be: "Letters, numbers... numbers, letters... I sometimes get them mixed up in my old brain") Tag+ had figured out the binary part, but not the switching of letters and numbers.)

48E26-D7D16-C945B-5E9EB

To further explain for anyone interested,. the greater than sign (or arrow to the right) was merely a separating character, not part of the code.

So, if you look between each > there are always two sets of characters, one before a dash "-" and one after a dash. The characters before the dash indicated the placement in the final solution, using the A - D to identify the four sets of five characters in a game code (for example, the second set of five characters in this code is "D7D16" and the binary number to indicate which position in that set. So B101 means the fifth character of the second set.

Then, with the placement keys figured out (something tab+ had exactly right, the characters after the dash indicated which character went into that spot, using letters to represent numbers and binary numbers to represent letters.

So, B101-F means "B" second set, "101" fifth character of second set, and "F" means 6 because it's the 6th letter of the alphabet, and I switched letters and numbers for everything after the dash.

Ooh, good one! What was the thought process behind switching numbers with letters and vice versa, Palestine? Was it hinted in the OP?

Well, I had not previously encountered a GOG code that had contained the letters: G, H, nor I.
With that in mind, I had sought out a pattern that was compatible with that 'rule'.

OldFatGuy: That "quite large" list of fixes for the Gothic 1 port reads a lot like the list of fixes in the G1 Community Patch.
Agreed.
But publisher has a full access to game's source code and can address stuff inaccessible to modders.
If they'll fix something, all modders will align theirs mods to these changes, to new "standard". Right now mods may or may not be compatible with each other.

OldFatGuy: One thing I could never figure out, even using the Community Patch, was that damned column that always fell the wrong way. This was a listed fix in the Community Patch, but I could no longer get it to fall, period. I remember being mesmerized by it when I first played so long ago because the column becomes a highlighted object and I was eventually able to get it to fall, but it fell in the direction opposite of the canyon to the chest. Using G1CP 1.2, I couldn't get it to do anything (even though it was still an object you could highlight. Tried just grabbing it, tried backing up, swigging some Potion of Swiftness and running into it (which often led me to bouncing off and falling off the cliff lol) and I couldn't do anything with it.
I've run the game and experienced the same. Although, i could swear i've tested it before and it was working!
In G1CP's github i've found out that if the column fix (fix #50, iirc) is not working, then it simply can't find it's handle/ID (or something like that) due to it being replaced/renamed by another mod/patch.
So, to test it, I have uninstalled Union and the G1CP's fix #50 started to work! Column falls in the correct direction and has collision (you can walk on it - that part needs an improvement though, because when you stand near fallen column and press ALT, expecting the game to prepare for a "step up" animation - it doesn't happen).

Here is the video.

PS: clever puzzle! Congrats to the winner.

MysterD: Actually, it could be coming here later, according to Nordic.

Oh shit! I never knew there was a troll over there. Darn, that's a bunch of XP I missed. lol

The game is so short I'm actually thinking of another play through with a different faction. I don't think I've ever played joining the sect camp (just old and new). I think the total play time for me this last time was less than 40 hours, maybe 50 tops. It was only a matter of a few days, less than a week. So it feels like a game I can back to anytime.

Gothic 2, especially with NoTR, is quite long if I'm remembering correctly. Not Skyrim/Morrowind long, but more than a week's worth of playing, if I'm remembering correctly. And it's a much larger world than Gothic 1. Or at least, that's what I'm remembering. Seems like it would have to be by default, since it includes the colony and the area outside of it.

EDIT: Just checked, and my last save just before finishing of The Sleeper and ending the game was 38 hours and 24 minutes. And that last part was a matter of minutes, so yeah, it was under 40 total hours to finish.

EDIT2: BTW, wanted to confirm for you your suspicions about In Extremo. I didn't install the In Extremo patch this time, but did remove the "55" in the ini file, and sure enough when I got to Chapter 2 they did in fact show up. I'm guessing here, but most likely the Gog (and Steam) digital versions still don't include it (for licensing issues) but it must be that the system pack, community patch, union, or some other unpaid for mod must have put the files back in there and then you simply had to remove those last two characters from the ini file. I feel almost certain that neither Gog nor Steam (english versions at the very least) include the in extremo files. But it was good, since this time I had In Extremo and regular old scavengers instead of Scavengers of Hau. There was another monster that the In Extremo patch changed, as Orc Dogs became something else and I think there was maybe one more too (blood hunds or something?)

OldFatGuy: snip
Yeah, that troll appears later in the game (chapter 4, i think).
On that video's savefile i have 23 hours (Cor Kalom is dead, so the game is finished; Sleeper is alive %)). It's from my old playthrough. Level 33, no magic levels at all.

Gothic 1 is quite short, yep.
Gothic 2 is harder (especially with NotR, which i still haven't played) and way longer.

Swamp Camp is limited to level 4 magic, i think. Not sure you'll be able to advance to level 5 by becoming a water mage later at New Camp.
Though their's heavy templar armor is the most badass *looking*, imho. - It was one of the reasons why i joined them in my first playthrough of the game. =)

Yep, seems that unofficial patches bring them back.
English version never had In Extremo concert, only German and Russian (on CD) versions did. But now even German version has them cut out (at least on GOG). And yeah, the In Extremo patch is using resources from German version, it seems, judging by "Orc hund" ("hund" is dog in German).

Good catch! I found it odd that all "numbers" only went up to 5. Should have been enough of a clue for me, but alas, not today.

Again, great puzzle, OP!
I swear when I'm in Khorinnis listening to that water mage Vaturas preaching, my old brain insists it's the same "preacher" standing in the center of White Run in Skyrim.

I know it's not likely, but all I kept thinking when I was in ear shot of that guy in Khorinnis was "WTF? Did I leave Gothic 2 and start playing Skyrim?" lol

I guess at some point they all sound the same. That preacher in Megaon in Fallout 3 comes to mind as well.
